Meet giant tortoises in the highlands, then board a yacht for a day trip – North Seymour, Bartolomé, South Plazas or Santa Fe – with snorkelling and wildlife. Around Puerto Ayora you’ll explore La Lobería, Punta Camaño and the Channel of Love, spotting sea lions, tintorera sharks and blue footed boobies. Day 1 - Arrival in the Galapagos
On arrival at Baltra Airport (GPS), we meet our English–speaking guide and continue to the highlands of Santa Cruz. If you arrive before 14:00, we include lunch in the highlands – later arrivals visit the highlands without lunch.
We visit a privately owned farm to see Galapagos giant tortoises – the largest living tortoise species, with some weighing up to about 250 kg. After the visit, we transfer you to your hotel to rest. Lunch included for arrivals before 14:00.
Day 2 - Yacht Excursion to an Uninhabited Island
After breakfast, we board a small yacht for a day trip to one of the islands off Santa Cruz – North Seymour, Bartolome, South Plazas or Santa Fe – allocated according to availability.
The crossing takes from around 20 minutes up to 2 hours, depending on the destination.
Day 3 - Puerto Ayora Bay Tour - Transfer to Isabela
After breakfast, we set out on a Bay Tour by boat to explore the highlights around Puerto Ayora.
We begin at La Lobería to watch sea lions, continue to Punta Camaño Islet for a snorkelling session with sea lions and a variety of fish, then navigate a channel to look for tintorera sharks and blue–footed boobies. We visit the Channel of Love and finish at Playa de los Perros – a 15–minute walk leads to a beach with colonies of dog crabs and many large marine iguanas.
In the afternoon, we take the public speedboat to Isabela.
Day 4 - Snorkelling at Los Túneles
At 11:00 am we board a boat to Los Túneles – one of Isabela’s finest snorkelling spots. We explore calm waters along roughly 800 metres, with an average water temperature of around 20 °C, amid rich marine life and coastal vegetation.
We keep watch for sea lions, manta rays, Galapagos penguins and white tipped sharks in the water, with blue footed boobies and frigatebirds often seen nearby. This is a relaxed, scenic outing focused on time in the water and unhurried wildlife viewing.
Day 5 - Departure from Isabela - Baltra Airport Transfer
After breakfast, we take a short 5 minute transfer to Isabela Airport, then board a small aircraft carrying up to nine passengers for the flight to Baltra – around 40 minutes. On arrival at Baltra Airport, the tour concludes. Breakfast included.
