Day 1 - Paris
Welcome to Paris! Upon your arrival, you'll be met with a transfer to your hotel, allowing you some time to unwind and settle in. Later in the afternoon, you'll receive essential information about the tour commencement, either in person or via helpful signs at the hotel reception. Please be aware that travellers may join or depart from various points throughout the route, which means the group composition might change. Rest assured, the group will always remain within the maximum size limit. Enjoy your first moments in the vibrant French capital. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Day 2 - Paris
On our second day in Paris, we will delve into the rich heritage of France at the splendid Palace of Versailles. Although entry is not included, you may choose to explore its renowned gardens and impressive architecture on your own. Upon our return to Paris, we'll head to Montmartre, a delightful bohemian quarter known for its vibrant artistic scene and historical cabarets. Our day continues with a guided panoramic tour through the city, allowing us to admire the grand avenues and iconic landmarks that define Paris. Following this, we'll return to the hotel. For the evening, you have the option to attend a variety show to add some extra charm to your Parisian experience.
Day 3 - Paris - Tours
Our day begins amidst the splendour of Paris with a visit to the Eiffel Tower, where you have the opportunity to ascend to its second floor and take in the panoramic views of this magnificent city. Following this, we’ll embark on a serene cruise along the River Seine, lasting approximately one hour and fifteen minutes. The afternoon is yours to explore Paris at your leisure, allowing you to discover its many wonders at your own pace.At 5:30 p.m., we will depart Paris for the charming Loire Valley, making our way to Tours, known as the capital of the region. We'll arrive in the evening, and we suggest a gentle stroll through the captivating historic centre where you can savour a delightful meal. Please note that due to potential long queues, the schedule for the Eiffel Tower visit may be adjusted or moved to Sunday if necessary for logistical reasons.
Day 4 - Tours - Bordeaux - Lourdes
We set off today for the southern part of France, travelling through the picturesque vineyards to reach Bordeaux. Known for its vibrant town centre, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Bordeaux invites exploration and a leisurely lunch. We encourage you to visit the renowned Port of the Moon and the historic Cathedral of St. Andrew. Our journey then continues towards the majestic Pyrenees, with our final destination being Lourdes, where we arrive in the late afternoon. Once there, you have the opportunity to join the poignant candlelight procession, which is held from late March to the end of October, and explore the various places of worship. We will gather for dinner at the hotel during the evening, where a meal is arranged for all travellers.
Day 5 - Lourdes - Carcassonne - Foix - Andorra
On day five, we'll traverse the picturesque landscapes of southern France, commencing our exploration in Carcassonne. This enchanting city is celebrated for its stunning medieval fortifications, an imposing castle, and the charming historic quarter known as La Cit?. You'll have time to wander through these ancient streets and savour a leisurely lunch. Our journey continues towards the Pyrenees, where we make a brief visit to Foix, a town famed for the majestic Ch?teau de Foix. As we follow the Pyrenean route, be captivated by the sight of snow-laden peaks visible throughout the year. Our next stop will be in the small principality of Andorra. En route, we'll pause at Sant Joan de Caselles, an exquisite 12th-century Romanesque church, before reaching Andorra la Vella, the vibrant capital. Here, you'll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the city's lively commercial life or perhaps unwind at Caldea, Europe's largest thermal spa. Dinner is included, rounding off a day brimming with cultural and historical delights.
Day 6 - Andorra - Montserrat - Barcelona
You may spend your morning in Andorra either indulging in some shopping or enjoying a leisurely walk. After lunch, our journey continues towards Catalonia, where the breathtaking mountain landscape will guide us to the awe-inspiring abbey of Santa Maria de Montserrat. Here, we will board a rack train, included in your tour, to ascend the mountain and take in the stunning views. After exploring the sanctuary nestled in this remarkable setting, we’ll proceed to Barcelona, where we will arrive in the late afternoon.
Day 7 - Barcelona
In the morning, we'll set off on a panoramic tour of Barcelona, celebrated for its captivating charm as one of Europe's most intriguing capitals. This dynamic city, located on the shores of the Mediterranean, boasts Gaudi's remarkable modernist architecture, the lively Ramblas, and a rich tapestry of history, underscored by the Universal Exposition and the Olympics held here. The afternoon is yours to spend at leisure. Come evening, we'll whisk you away to Maremagnum, a modern hub of entertainment and dining by the sea, situated conveniently near Plaza de Colón. Here, you can enjoy a leisurely walk around the vibrant locale and select from an array of dining venues for the evening.
Day 8 - Barcelona
After breakfast, our journey concludes, leaving you with wonderful lasting memories of your adventure.
