Day 1 - Paris
Welcome to Paris. Upon arrival, we will transfer you to your hotel, where you will have some free time to settle in and relax. In the afternoon, we will provide essential information about the start of your tour, either in person or via information panels located at the hotel reception. This introduction will help you prepare for the exciting days ahead.
Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour.
Day 2 - Paris
We begin the day exploring the rich history of France at the magnificent Palace of Versailles, admired for its grand architecture and extensive gardens (entrance not included). Returning to Paris, we visit Montmartre – a delightful, bohemian district known for its artistic heritage and vibrant cabaret scene. To capture the full splendour of the city, we then enjoy a panoramic guided tour of Paris, taking in its wide boulevards and iconic landmarks. After the tour, we return to the hotel, with the evening free for those who wish to attend an optional variety show.
Day 3 - Paris - Rouen
We begin the day in central Paris with a visit to the iconic Eiffel Tower, including tickets to ascend to the second floor for panoramic views. Following this, we enjoy a leisurely boat cruise along the Seine, offering a relaxing perspective of the city’s landmarks. The afternoon is free for you to explore Paris at your own pace. Around 4:00 p.m., we depart for Normandy and arrive in Rouen. You’ll have free time to discover the city’s historic centre, known for its medieval architecture and impressive Gothic cathedral, reflecting its rich Roman and medieval heritage. Please note that if there are long wait times at the Eiffel Tower, we may reschedule the visit to a different time or day to ensure the best experience.
Day 4 - Rouen - English Channel - Canterbury - London
We’ll start the day with some leisure time to explore Rouen’s historic centre, known for its medieval streets and impressive Gothic cathedral. Afterwards, we’ll travel north through France to the coast, where we’ll board a ferry crossing the English Channel. Upon arrival in England, we’ll visit Canterbury, famed for its religious heritage and charming old town. Continuing on, we’ll reach London and enjoy some free time in the Tower Bridge area, one of the city’s most iconic landmarks, before heading to our hotel for the night.
Day 5 - London
We explore London on a panoramic tour with a local guide, taking in key sites such as the Houses of Parliament, the River Thames, and Buckingham Palace, where you may catch the Changing of the Guard depending on the schedule. In the evening, we meet in Piccadilly to stroll through Leicester Square, Chinatown, and Soho—areas famed for their vibrant atmosphere, theatres, and dining options. You’ll have plenty of choice for dinner before we return to the hotel.
Day 6 - London - Colchester - Colchester - Volendam Ferry
We begin the day with a visit to the British Museum, one of the world’s oldest institutions, where we explore artefacts spanning cultures from across the globe. At lunchtime, you’ll have some free time to browse Camden Market, known for its lively, eclectic atmosphere and unique stalls offering everything from vintage clothing to international cuisine—an ideal spot to enjoy lunch. Around 4:00 p.m., we travel to Colchester, England’s oldest recorded town, where we take a gentle walk through its historic streets. Later, we continue to Harwich to board the ferry for an overnight crossing to the Netherlands. We stay in en suite cabins onboard for comfort during the journey. Please note, due to limited cabin availability, the itinerary may be adjusted—with alternative travel options including a daytime ferry, an overnight stay in Antwerp, or travel by train or flight to Amsterdam.
Day 7 - Colchester - Volendam Ferry - Volendam - Amsterdam
We arrive in the Netherlands at Hoek van Holland around 8:00 a.m. and make our way to Volendam, a quaint fishing village known for its traditional character and scenic harbour. Afterwards, we continue to Amsterdam for a guided tour highlighting key sites: the iconic windmill, the Rembrandt statue, the elegant South District, and the diamond-cutting heritage at Museum Square. The coach tour concludes in the city centre, where we leave the bus and you are free to explore at your leisure.
Day 8 - Amsterdam - Hamelin - Berlin
We leave Amsterdam and travel east into Germany, stopping first in Hamelin. This charming town is famous for its connection to the Brothers Grimm fairy tale of the Pied Piper, with its quaint streets and shops reflecting that heritage. Continuing on, we pass through Marienborn, formerly the border crossing between East and West Germany during the Cold War. We arrive in Berlin in the evening, where the remainder of the day is free.
Day 9 - Berlin
We begin the day with a guided tour of Berlin, the dynamic capital of Germany. From the coach, we’ll pass key sights including Museum Island, the Television Tower, the city centre’s main shopping streets, the Old Cathedral—damaged during World War II—the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag, and the city’s extensive parks. We’ll pause to visit two poignant landmarks: the Holocaust Memorial and the Berlin Wall Memorial Museum, which offer important insights into Germany’s 20th-century history. In the afternoon, you will have free time to explore Berlin at your leisure. Early evening, we provide a transfer to the lively Kantstrasse area, known for its vibrant atmosphere and dining options.
Day 10 - Berlin - Dresden - Prague
We travel through forested landscapes to Dresden, a city celebrated for its remarkable architectural and artistic heritage, making it one of Germany’s premier tourist destinations. You’ll have time to explore some of its impressive palaces and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant or café. Later, we continue to the Czech Republic, arriving in Prague. We visit the lively Old Town Square, the perfect introduction to the city’s bustling atmosphere and rich history. You can choose from numerous restaurants offering a range of international cuisines, including Czech, Chinese, Indian, and Italian, before we return to the hotel.
Day 11 - Prague
We begin the day with a panoramic tour of Prague, guided by a local expert who will introduce you to the city’s most remarkable Baroque monuments. During the tour, we visit Prague Castle, with admission included, exploring one of Europe’s largest and most historically significant castle complexes. Afterwards, we enjoy a relaxing boat cruise along the Vltava River, taking in the city’s scenic views from the water. The afternoon is yours to explore Prague at your leisure, whether wandering the charming streets or visiting additional sights.
Day 12 - Prague - Pilsen - Rothenburg - Frankfurt
We’ll depart early from Prague and travel to Pilsen in western Bohemia, a city famed for its beer heritage. You’ll have time to explore the historic centre, including the Old Town Square, cathedral, Plague Column, and Renaissance town hall. Continuing into Germany, we’ll follow part of the Romantic Road to the fairy-tale town of Rothenburg, renowned as one of the country’s most beautiful villages. In the evening, we’ll arrive in Frankfurt, Germany’s financial hub, where you’ll have free time to enjoy the historic city centre and choose from a variety of restaurants offering Indian, Asian, Italian, and international cuisine.
Day 13 - Frankfurt - Cruise on the Rhine - Cologne - Amsterdam
We begin the day with a scenic cruise along the most picturesque stretch of the Rhine River, travelling between the charming villages of Rüdesheim and St. Goar. Following the cruise, we continue to Cologne, where we visit the city’s vast Gothic cathedral, an impressive example of medieval architecture. Afterwards, we travel onward to the Netherlands, arriving in Amsterdam in the evening.
Day 14 - Amsterdam
After breakfast, the tour concludes, leaving you with treasured memories of your journey.
