Day 1 - Paris
Arrive in the captivating city of Paris, where we will transport you to your hotel for the beginning of your adventure. Upon settling in, you have some leisure time to explore or relax at your own pace. In the afternoon, feel free to check the hotel reception area, where information boards will provide details regarding the starting arrangements of your exciting tour. Enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of Paris and prepare for the experiences to come. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2 - Paris
On the second day of our adventure in Paris, we'll start with an enchanting panoramic tour of the city, led by a knowledgeable local guide. This is a perfect opportunity to soak up the iconic sights and sounds of the French capital. Following this, we'll transfer to the vibrant Montmartre district, celebrated for its lively street artistry and charming eateries. Take time to indulge in lunch amidst this picturesque setting. In the afternoon, we return to the hotel, with an option for those interested to explore the Louvre Museum. We highly recommend visiting this world-renowned cultural landmark. You have free time to enjoy the city at your own pace, perhaps by strolling through the historic streets or stopping at a cosy café. In the evening, an optional variety show awaits if you're keen on experiencing Parisian nightlife. Whether you choose to partake in this or spend the evening at your leisure, the city offers countless possibilities to create unforgettable memories.
Day 3 - Paris
On the third day of our journey, we will provide a transfer to the splendid Palace of Versailles, famed for its opulent architecture and extensive gardens–though please note that admission is not included. You will then have the afternoon free to explore Paris at your leisure. Your guide will suggest optional activities, including a leisurely boat trip along the River Seine or a visit to the lively Latin Quarter, known for its vibrant atmosphere and historical significance.
Day 4 - Paris - Rouen - Arromanches - Caen
On the fourth day, we set off early from Paris and head to Normandy, a region rich in history and culture. Our first stop is in Giverny, where we visit Monet’s House and its impressive gardens—an iconic site linked to the impressionist art movement that flourished in this region. Admission is included, and you'll gain insights into how this art movement developed. Our journey continues to Rouen, the capital of Normandy, renowned for its medieval streets and stunning cathedral. You'll have time for a leisurely stroll and a bite to eat in this charming city. We then proceed to Arromanches, deeply significant for its role in the World War II landings, offering a poignant historical perspective. The day concludes in Caen with some leisure time in its central district. Please note that from November to April, Monet’s House is closed to visitors, and our stop in Giverny will not take place.
Day 5 - Caen - Mont-Saint-Michel - Fougeres - Chartres - Paris
We begin our day with an early departure from Caen, heading towards the remarkable Mont-Saint-Michel, often referred to as "The Wonder." Here, you can explore this breathtaking island city, uniquely positioned amid the sea, and its iconic abbey. After soaking in its grandeur, we continue to Fougères in Brittany. This picturesque town, situated at the foot of Europe's largest fortress, charms with its medieval cobblestone streets where you'll have time to wander and enjoy lunch. Our journey then leads us to Chartres, where we pause to admire its magnificent Gothic cathedral, renowned for its stunning architecture and historical significance. Concluding this exciting day, we head back to Paris, with an expected arrival time of around 8:30 p.m.
Day 6 - Paris
After breakfast, our journey concludes, leaving you with cherished memories of your travels.
