Day 1 - New Delhi - Delhi
Arrive in Delhi. On arrival at Delhi International Airport, we meet you and assist with your transfer to the hotel – check in and take time to relax. The remainder of the day is free for you to unwind at your own pace. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2 - Delhi - New Delhi
After breakfast at the hotel, we set out on a full-day exploration of Delhi. In Old Delhi we visit the Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk and the Khari Baoli spice market, and take a cycle rickshaw ride through the lanes of Chandni Chowk. We then continue to New Delhi to see Qutab Minar, Humayun’s Tomb, the Lotus Temple and the VVIP areas – President House, Parliament and India Gate. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3 - Delhi - Agra
After breakfast at the hotel, we drive to Agra for a full day excursion – around 200 km and about four hours each way. On arrival, we visit the Taj Mahal, the ivory‑white marble mausoleum on the banks of the River Yamuna, commissioned in 1632 by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan for his wife Mumtaz Mahal and later housing his own tomb as well. We continue to Agra Fort, the principal residence of the Mughal emperors until 1638 when the capital moved to Delhi, then visit the Itmad‑ud‑Daula Tomb, commissioned by Nur Jahan for her father, Mirza Ghiyas Beg.After sightseeing, we drive back to Delhi for the night at the hotel.
Day 4 - Delhi - Chandigarh
After breakfast at the hotel, we fly to Chandigarh and transfer to the hotel to check in. Later, we set out on a city tour of Chandigarh – a planned city designed by Le Corbusier – known for its modernist architecture, high quality of life and abundant green spaces. We explore its highlights and stroll through landscaped gardens with neatly kept lawns and flower beds.
Day 5 - Chandigarh - Shimla - Kalka
Chandigarh to Shimla by toy train. After breakfast, we transfer to Kalka Railway Station to board the narrow‑gauge toy train to Shimla, terminus of the Kalka–Shimla Railway completed in 1903. On arrival, we meet you at Shimla station and transfer to your hotel. Once the summer capital of British India, Shimla is known for its handicraft shops along The Mall and the Lakkar Bazaar, which specialises in wooden toys and crafts. You have the rest of the day free to relax or wander The Mall – ideal for shopping, with a theatre and plenty of places to eat. Overnight at hotel.
Day 6 - Shimla - Meerut
Breakfast at the hotel, then we explore Shimla. We take in the views from The Ridge, visit Jakhoo Temple on the city’s highest peak for a panorama of the town, and stop at the State Museum to see its collections of paintings, handicrafts, textiles and stone carvings. We also visit Christ Church – the second oldest church in North India – and Rashtrapati Niwas, formerly the Viceregal Lodge, on Observatory Hills, once the residence of the British Viceroy and now home to historic artefacts and photographs from the British period. Later, you have free time to stroll The Mall at your own pace. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 7 - Shimla - Chail - Kufri - Patiala
After breakfast at the hotel, we set out from Shimla on a day excursion to Chail and Kufri. In Chail, we visit the Chail Palace – known for its architecture and built as a summer retreat by the Maharaja of Patiala during the British Raj on land allotted for his assistance in the Anglo–Nepalese War. We also see the cricket and polo ground at an altitude of 2,444 m – once owned by the Patiala royal family. It is the world’s highest cricket ground. We then continue to Kufri before returning to Shimla. Overnight at the hotel in Shimla.
Day 8 - Shimla - Mussoorie
After breakfast at the hotel, we drive from Shimla to Mussoorie (260 kilometres – around 7 hours) and check in on arrival. The rest of the day is free – you can relax or spend time on The Mall, the town’s renowned shopping district in the heart of Mussoorie. It’s lined with shops and cafés, with colonial-era remnants adding character. You’ll also find video game parlours and skating rinks, a Methodist church, and a nearby Tibetan marketplace. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 9 -
After breakfast at the hotel, we set out on a city tour of Mussoorie. We visit Gun Hill – the town’s second-highest point at 2,024 m – and Kempty Falls, whose name is said to come from camp tea during the colonial era and which is popular for swimming and fishing. We continue to Sir George Everest’s House – the former residence and laboratory of the Surveyor General of India from 1830 to 1843, after whom the world’s highest peak, Mount Everest, is named – with views over Doon Valley, the Aglar River valley and the Himalayan ranges. The approach from Library Bazaar is a scenic walk. We also visit Lal Tibba, Mussoorie’s highest point, known for its Japanese telescope installed in 1967 and sweeping views over the town and surrounding peaks. The rest of the day is free for you to relax. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 10 - Mussoorie - Delhi
After breakfast, we drive 275 kilometres – about six hours – back to Delhi and check in to the hotel on arrival. The rest of the day is free – you can relax or head out with your driver to visit any places that interest you. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 11 - Delhi
After breakfast at the hotel, we transfer you to Delhi International Airport at a time aligned with your flight schedule to board your onward flight.
