Day 1 - New Delhi - Delhi
Arrive in Delhi. On landing at Delhi airport, we’ll meet you and provide assisted transfer to your hotel. Hotel check in and check out are at 1200 hrs – early check in is subject to room availability. The rest of the day is free to relax and take care of personal activities. You may choose to go out for dinner with your driver. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2 - Delhi - New Delhi
Delhi We begin at the Red Fort, a showcase of Mughal grandeur, exploring its vast complex and intricate design. We then step into the heart of Old Delhi at Jama Masjid – India’s largest mosque – before weaving through Chandni Chowk’s lively lanes, where centuries-old markets brim with spices, textiles and jewellery. In the afternoon we visit Humayun’s Tomb, a UNESCO World Heritage Site set among elegant Persian-influenced gardens, followed by quiet time at the Lotus Temple, the Bahá’í House of Worship known for its lotus-shaped architecture and tranquil atmosphere. We round off the day at Qutub Minar – another UNESCO site – to admire the soaring 12th-century brick minaret and surrounding ruins, then drive through Lutyens’ Delhi to take in New Delhi’s grand avenues and colonial-era architecture. Overnight at hotel.
Day 3 - Delhi - Agra
Delhi – Agra (210 km – around 4 hours) After breakfast we drive to Agra, home of the Taj Mahal. On arrival we check in, then set out to explore the city’s key monuments. We visit the Taj Mahal – a New Seven Wonder and enduring symbol of love – to admire its luminous white marble and intricate detailing. We continue to Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site that served as the main residence of the Mughal emperors, to wander through its palaces, mosques and gardens. We then visit the tomb of Itmad–ud–Daula on the banks of the Yamuna River, renowned for delicate marble inlay and intricate lattice screens. The evening is at leisure – you can stroll the bustling streets, savour local delicacies and shop for souvenirs as the city settles into sunset. Overnight at hotel.
Day 4 - Agra - Fatehpur Sikri - Ranthambore National Park
After breakfast, we drive from Agra to Ranthambore – about 250 km, 5 hours – stopping en route at Fatehpur Sikri. Founded in 1569 by Emperor Akbar and abandoned around 15 years later due to water scarcity, this red sandstone city blends Hindu and Islamic influences. We explore key highlights including Diwan–i–Khas, Jodha Bai’s Palace, Jama Masjid, the Tomb of Salim Chishti, Panch Mahal and the towering Buland Darwaza.We continue to Ranthambore and check in at the resort. Nearby, Ranthambore Fort dates to the 10th century and is noted for its commanding walls, gates, temples and tanks, as well as the 1303 siege by Alauddin Khilji associated with the practice of jauhar. The rest of the day is free – you can relax at the resort. Overnight at resort.
Day 5 -
Ranthambore. We head out at dawn for a safari in Ranthambore Tiger Reserve, travelling in open jeeps or canters with an experienced naturalist. We explore forest, grassland and wetlands while tracking signs such as pugmarks and alarm calls, with chances to see Bengal tiger, leopard, sloth bear, spotted deer, langurs and diverse birdlife. We return to the resort for lunch and a break, then set out again for an afternoon drive – often in a different zone – to broaden wildlife viewing. We arrive back at the resort in the evening. Overnight at resort.
Day 6 - Bundi
After breakfast we depart Ranthambore for Bundi – 155 km, around 3 hours – a historic town known for its striking architecture. On arrival we check in, then head up to Taragarh Fort for panoramic views over the town and surrounding countryside. We continue to Bundi Palace to see its fine frescoes and murals that reflect the region’s artistic heritage. We also visit a selection of the town’s stepwells (baoris), noting their historic role in water management and the intricate stonework that lines their depths. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 7 - Bundi - Pushkar - Ajmer
Bundi – Pushkar (180 kms – approx. 4 hours) After breakfast we drive to Pushkar, a sacred town known for its spiritual significance and vibrant culture. On arrival we visit the Brahma Temple, dedicated to the creator god Brahma, then walk around Pushkar Lake to observe pilgrims performing rituals at the ghats. We continue up to the Savitri Temple for panoramic views of the town and surrounding desert landscape. You can explore the colourful markets at your own pace, browsing for handicrafts, textiles and silver jewellery. Later we visit nearby Ajmer to pay respects at Ajmer Sharif Dargah, the revered Sufi shrine of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti, before returning to Pushkar. Overnight at hotel.
Day 8 - Pushkar - Jaipur
We drive from Pushkar to Jaipur – about 145 km, roughly 3 hours. On arrival we check in to your hotel and you have time to settle in. This afternoon you can explore Jaipur’s markets – Johari Bazaar, Bapu Bazaar and Nehru Bazaar – browsing traditional handicrafts, textiles and jewellery. In the evening we visit Nahargarh Fort, set on the Aravalli Hills, for panoramic city views at sunset and a relaxed walk along the ramparts. Overnight at hotel.
Day 9 - Jaipur
We begin with Amber Fort on the city’s outskirts, exploring its grand architecture, detailed carvings and sweeping views. If you prefer not to walk uphill, you can choose a Jeep ride to the fort. We continue to the City Palace – a striking blend of Rajasthani and Mughal design – to see its courtyards, museums and ornate halls, including Chandra Mahal and Mubarak Mahal. We then visit Jantar Mantar, the 18th‑century observatory built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, to view its remarkable astronomical instruments, including the world’s largest stone sundial. Next, we explore the Hawa Mahal, the Palace of Winds, and admire its distinctive honeycomb façade and fine lattice work. We end at the serene Birla Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi, noted for its white marble and elegant carvings. Overnight at hotel.
Day 10 - Jaipur - Delhi
After breakfast we depart Jaipur for Delhi – a drive of roughly 265 km taking about five hours, depending on traffic. On arrival in Delhi, we’ll assist with your transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
