Day 1 - Delhi
On arrival at Delhi airport, our representative will meet you and assist with your transfer to the hotel for check-in. Standard check-in is from 12:00 – early check-in is subject to availability. Later, we take a city tour, visiting Jama Masjid and the UNESCO-listed Red Fort, Humayun’s Tomb and the Qutub Minar complex, and enjoying a cycle rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk and the Khari Baoli spice market. We also visit the Lotus Temple and conclude with a drive past the President’s House, Parliament House and India Gate. Overnight in Delhi.
Day 2 - Delhi to Shimla
Delhi – Shimla (364 km – approximately 9 hours). After breakfast at the hotel, we drive to Shimla, starting on the plains before continuing along winding mountain roads. We make planned stops for lunch and tea en route. On arrival in Shimla, we assist with check in at your hotel and the rest of the day is free for you to relax. Overnight in Shimla.
Day 3 - Exploring Shimla
Breakfast at the hotel. We set out on a half day city tour, visiting Jakho Temple, Annadale and Taradevi Temple, then continue to the Mall Road for a relaxed walk. In the evening, you can explore the lively streets of the Mall Road and browse for rugs, woollens and handicrafts. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4 - Shimla to Manali
After breakfast at the hotel, we drive from Shimla to Manali, covering around 257 kilometres – approximately 7 hours. En route we visit the Roerich Art Gallery in Naggar, dedicated to the artist Nicholas Roerich. On arrival in Manali, we assist with priority check-in. The remainder of the day is yours to relax and enjoy the mountain setting at your own pace. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 5 - Rohtang Pass & Bhrigu Lake
After breakfast at the hotel, we set out on an excursion to Rohtang Pass – around 13,000 ft above sea level and historically an important route for the trade of silk yarn, indigo and pashmina. We then continue to Bhrigu Lake before returning to Manali. Back in town, you can spend time exploring the local market. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 6 - Exploring Manali
After breakfast at the hotel, we head to Solang Valley for its mountain scenery and open meadows. Returning to Manali, we continue on a city tour – visiting Hadimba Devi Temple, a historic wooden shrine dedicated to the local deity, and the Vashistha Springs, known for their natural hot waters – before spending time on Mall Road. The rest of the day is free for you to relax. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 7 - Manali to Dharamshala
After breakfast at the hotel, we drive from Manali to Dharamshala – approximately 230 kilometres, around six hours. This hill town is known for its serene setting and Buddhist cultural presence. On arrival, we check in to the hotel, and you have the rest of the day free to relax. Overnight in Dharamshala.
Day 8 - McLeod Ganj and Dharamshala
After breakfast, we set out on a full-day tour of McLeod Ganj and Dharamshala, visiting the Tsuglagkhang Complex – home to the Dalai Lama Temple – Bhagsunag Temple and Waterfall, the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts, Tsechokling Gompa, St. John in the Wilderness and Dal Lake. You then have time at leisure to relax. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 9 - Dharamshala to Amritsar
Dharamshala – Amritsar (210 km – approx. 5 hours). After breakfast at the hotel, we drive to Amritsar and check in on arrival. In the afternoon we visit the Wagah Border to attend the Beating Retreat Ceremony – the daily flag lowering at the India–Pakistan frontier. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 10 - Exploring Amritsar & Train to Delhi
After breakfast at the hotel, we visit the Golden Temple – renowned for its gilded dome – followed by Durgiana Temple, the Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum and Gobindgarh Fort. We also take a rickshaw ride and a guided walk through the old market. Later, we transfer to the railway station to board the Amritsar Shatabdi, Train No. 12032 (16:50 – 23:15 hrs), for Delhi. On arrival in Delhi, we provide assistance at the station and transfer to the hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 11 - Delhi
After breakfast at the hotel, we arrange your transfer to Delhi airport in line with your flight schedule – please be ready in the lobby at the advised pick-up time. If your departure is later, you can spend the time at leisure until your transfer. Board your flight for your onward journey.
