From here, we continue to Kilkenny and step back in time at its impressive 12th-century castle. Inside, we’ll wander through elegant rooms filled with fine furnishings and artwork, gaining a sense of how noble families once lived. Afterwards, stroll through the medieval streets before settling in for the night.

Leaving Kilkenny behind, we head for one of Ireland’s best-preserved strongholds – Cahir Castle – dramatically perched on a rocky island in the River Suir. After exploring this formidable fortress, we continue to the legendary Blarney Castle. Climb its stone steps and kiss the famous Blarney Stone to gain the ‘gift of the gab’ – then unwind in the castle gardens, dungeons, and leafy grounds.

Our day ends in colourful Dingle, where lively pubs, fresh seafood, and warm welcomes await.

Today, we follow the winding Slea Head Drive – one of Ireland’s most scenic coastal routes. Expect dramatic headlands, golden beaches, and maybe even a chance to meet some fluffy new friends (baby lambs, if in season!).
Along the way, we’ll visit a selection of the peninsula’s most striking locations, including the Beehive Huts, Gallarus Oratory, the dramatic curves of Dunquin Pier, and the sweeping sands of Coomeenoule Beach. As we travel, our guide will bring the landscape to life with local folklore, personal insights, and lesser-known gems, creating a journey that stays with you well beyond the day itself.
In the afternoon, we make our way back to Dingle for a memorable visit to the acclaimed Dingle Distillery, one of Ireland’s leading craft spirit producers. Enjoy a guided behind-the-scenes tour, learn about the distillation process behind their celebrated whiskey, gin, and vodka, and finish with a tasting that reflects the unique character of the Dingle Peninsula.
