Once you have arrived at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, a private car transfers you to your accommodation in the city, with pick-up arranged for 12 pm.

The next three nights are spent in Kuala Lumpur, a city of contrasts where colonial-era buildings, temples, minarets and domes sit against a backdrop of skyscrapers, including the iconic Petronas Twin Towers. Malaysia's capital is known for its multicultural energy, blending diverse traditions, festivals and cuisines, and its lush greenery has earned it a reputation as a garden city - one that comes alive with lights after dark.

Today is free to explore Kuala Lumpur independently, with plenty to see across the city - from the iconic Petronas Twin Towers to the colonial-era buildings, temples and mosques that give the older parts of the city their character.

In the morning, another free day in Kuala Lumpur allows more time to explore, whether that means browsing the city's markets or taking in its parks and green spaces.

This morning, you are collected from your Kuala Lumpur hotel at 7:30 am by your guide and driver for the journey to Ipoh, a two-hour drive north.

On arrival, admire the Ipoh Railway Station, an impressive neoclassical and Edwardian Baroque building often referred to as the Taj Mahal of Malaysia, before driving past the city centre's many intact British colonial buildings, including the Birch Memorial Clock Tower. Lunch at a local restaurant is included, along with a tea tasting at the well-known Old Town White Coffee.

The day continues with a visit to Kellie's Castle before exploring Perak Tong, a limestone cave temple that is home to more than forty Buddha statues.

You then have time to wander Ipoh's markets, sampling an array of local treats - from bean sprouts and chicken to snowflake beer and Heong Peng - before finishing with the traditional dessert muah chee, sugary rice balls, and being dropped off at your accommodation in Ipoh, where the next two nights are spent.

This day is free to spend as you choose - perhaps relaxing at your accommodation, or spending more time exploring Ipoh's town centre.

After breakfast, you depart Ipoh at 12 pm for the transfer to Pangkor Island. The journey takes around two hours by road to Marina Island Pangkor, where you continue by speedboat to your accommodation on Pangkor Island, arriving at around 2 pm.

Please note: A scheduled return boat service operates between Pangkor Laut jetty and the resort throughout your stay.

The next four nights are spent on Pangkor Island, a resort island off the coast of Perak surrounded by smaller islands including Pangkor Laut, Talang, Giam and Mentagor. These days are left free for you to relax by the water, with time to explore the surrounding islands should you wish.

Your final full day on Pangkor Island is free to spend relaxing, with time to make the most of the island's calm surroundings before your departure tomorrow.

This morning, you depart Pangkor Island by speedboat to Marina Island Pangkor, continuing by road to Kuala Lumpur - a journey of around five hours in total. On arrival, you are dropped off in Kuala Lumpur, bringing your tour to a close.
