Itinerary
Day 1 - Marrakech - Marrakech
Upon arrival at Marrakech Airport, our team will be waiting for you just outside the Arrivals exit, holding a sign with your name. Please ensure you meet your agent or driver before leaving the pick-up area. We will then transfer you to your hotel for check-in. After settling in, enjoy dinner at the hotel before spending your first night in Marrakech.
Day 2 - Marrakech - Casablanca
After breakfast, we leave Marrakech and travel to Casablanca, Morocco’s bustling commercial capital. Along the way, we explore the city’s highlights, including the vibrant central market, the charming Habous district, the Royal Palace, Mohamed V Square, and the residential area of Anfa. We admire the striking Hassan II Mosque from the outside, set dramatically by the sea, and stroll along the Corniche. The city’s distinctive architecture is on display throughout, with notable Art Deco façades such as those on the Sacré Coeur Church, Notre Dame de Lourdes, and the Justice Palace. The afternoon is yours to enjoy at your own pace, discovering Casablanca’s cosmopolitan atmosphere. We spend the night in Casablanca.
Day 3 - Casablanca - Rabat
After breakfast, we travel north along the Atlantic coast to Rabat, Morocco’s capital. Upon arrival, we take a guided panoramic tour of the city, viewing key landmarks including the Royal Palace, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Hassan Tower. We then explore the Kasbah of the Oudayas, wandering through its historic streets and visiting its renowned gardens. You may choose to stop for lunch before spending the remainder of the day at your leisure in Rabat. Overnight accommodation is in Rabat.
Day 4 - Rabat - Meknes - Fes
After breakfast, we travel to Meknes, once the imperial capital under Sultan Moulay Ismail in the late 17th and early 18th centuries. Known as the ‘City of a Hundred Minarets’, Meknes is a UNESCO World Heritage Site celebrated for its grand city walls and ornate gates, including Bab Mansour and Bab El-Khemis. We explore El Hedim Square and wander through the winding alleys of the Dar El Ma souk. Continuing the journey, we pass the ruins of the ancient Phoenician city of Volubilis before stopping at the holy town of Moulay Idriss. Finally, we arrive in Fes to check in and spend the night.
Day 5 - Fes
After breakfast, we spend the morning exploring Fez, a city with over 1,200 years of history and home to the world’s oldest university. The UNESCO-listed medina, Fez el Bali, is a labyrinth of narrow, car-free alleys enclosed by ancient walls. We visit the Nejjarrine Fountain, located in the carpenters’ district, where the scent of cedar lingers. Along the way, we see historic madrasahs and the impressive mausoleum of Moulay Idriss Zaouia, Morocco’s most important saint’s shrine. The vibrant atmosphere, filled with the sounds and smells of the medina, offers a genuine glimpse into the city’s rich heritage. You have the afternoon at leisure to explore further or relax. Overnight in Fez.
Day 6 - Fes - Midelt - Erfoud - Merzouga
After breakfast, we leave Fez and ascend from 400 metres above sea level into the Middle Atlas Mountains, reaching altitudes over 2,000 metres. Along the way, you’ll see striking contrasts—from rugged rock formations to hills blanketed in dense cedar forests. We pass through Ifrane, a charming ski resort known for its European-style chalets with sloping roofs. There is an optional lunch stop in Midelt, a former French colonial town. In the afternoon, we continue through the market town of Er-Rich and cross the Tizi N'Talghomt pass before arriving in Erfoud. Here, we transfer to a 4x4 for an exhilarating drive to the VIP bivouac in Merzouga. Experience the nomadic lifestyle with dinner and an overnight stay in a comfortable VIP tent. Be sure to take in the unforgettable sunset or sunrise from atop the sand dunes.
Day 7 - Merzouga - Erfoud - Tineghir - Ouarzazate
After breakfast, we transfer by 4x4 back to Erfoud and begin a scenic drive towards Tineghir, passing through the oasis of El Jorf, where a vast palm grove contrasts with the town’s adobe homes and surrounding desert sands. We continue through the market town of Tinejdad before arriving in Tineghir. A short drive north takes us to the dramatic Todra Gorge, a spectacular canyon where a small stream runs between walls that soar up to 160 metres and narrow to just 10 metres in places. You may choose to have lunch in Tineghir at your leisure. Afterwards, we journey to Ouarzazate via the Dades Valley, often called the ‘Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs’ for its numerous fortified villages. Along the way, we stop at the fortified village of Kelaat M’Gouna, a fragrant oasis known as the ‘Valley of Roses’, before arriving at our final destination for the day. Overnight in Ouarzazate.
Day 8 - Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakech - Marrakech
After breakfast, we visit the Taourirt Kasbah, once a stronghold of T'hami El Glaoui, the influential lord of the Atlas during the final years of French colonial rule. Time permitting, we also explore the nearby Tifoultoute Kasbah, located about 10 kilometres from town. Next, we head to Ait Ben Haddou, one of Morocco’s most iconic kasbahs and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This ancient oasis on the banks of the Oued Ounila was a vital stop on the trans-Saharan trade route, its weathered walls and ruined granary bearing witness to its historic significance. You can choose to enjoy an optional lunch overlooking the kasbah, a memorable experience. Afterwards, we continue to Marrakech for check-in and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 9 - Marrakech - Marrakech
After breakfast, we begin your tour of Marrakech with a visit to the Majorelle Garden, a striking blue oasis once owned by Yves Saint Laurent. Next, explore the city’s architectural highlights, including the iconic Koutoubia Mosque, renowned for its 70-metre minaret and Hispano-Moresque design, followed by the elegant Bahia Palace with its fragrant orange tree gardens and intricately carved cedar domes. After an optional lunch, we take you through the bustling souks and artisan quarters, where you can admire a wide array of traditional crafts. The day concludes with a visit to the legendary Djemaa El-Fna square, recognised by UNESCO as a Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity. In the evening, enjoy the vibrant Fantasia dinner show—a lively celebration of Moroccan culture featuring local cuisine, traditional dancers, musicians, horsemen and acrobats, all set within a large, authentic tent. Overnight in Marrakech.
Day 10 - Marrakech
After breakfast at the hotel, we transfer you to Marrakech Airport at a time that suits your flight schedule, ensuring a smooth departure as you continue your journey.
