Kick off with a thrilling flight to Lukla, then follow the Dudh Kosi into Sagarmatha National Park as you acclimatise in buzzing Namche Bazaar. You’ll visit Tengboche’s monastery, trek through Sherpa villages and reach Everest Base Camp – with a rewarding push to Kala Pattar for jaw–dropping views of Everest and the Khumbu Glacier. Cross the dramatic Cho La Pass to the turquoise Gokyo Lakes, climbing Gokyo Ri for a sweeping panorama. Itinerary
Day 1 - Kathmandu
On arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, we greet you and assist with your transfer to your hotel in the Thamel district. You settle in and take in your first impressions of Kathmandu’s lively streets, then later we host a concise briefing on the journey ahead – a helpful introduction to the cultural and natural highlights to come.
Day 2 - Kathmandu - Lukla - Phakding
We begin with an exhilarating mountain flight to Lukla – a short, scenic hop that signals the start of our trek into the Everest region. From here, we follow the Dudh Kosi River on an easy descent to Phakding, easing into the trail at a relaxed pace.
Day 3 - Phakding - Namche Bazaar
We trace the valley into Sagarmatha National Park, then climb steadily towards Namche Bazaar – a demanding ascent rewarded by our first sweeping mountain panoramas.
Day 4 - Namche Bazaar
We spend a full day in Namche Bazaar to acclimatise – taking a gentle walk to nearby viewpoints to help our bodies adjust to the altitude. You can also explore at your own pace, browsing the shops and unwinding in cafés as you settle into mountain life.
Day 5 - Namche Bazaar - Thengboche
We descend through forests before tackling a sustained climb towards Thengboche – arriving at the monastery, framed by towering peaks, for a memorable finish to the day.
Day 6 - Thengboche - Dingboche
We trek through woodland and Sherpa villages as the terrain grows more rugged, entering the Imja Valley and continuing towards Dingboche with dramatic summits surrounding us.
Day 7 - Dingboche
We take a vital acclimatisation day in Dingboche – time to rest and hydrate – and you may choose an optional hike to a higher vantage point before returning to relax amid the superb views.
Day 8 - Dingboche - Lobuche
We climb gradually through the valley to Dughla, then ascend steadily over the Thokla Pass – continuing along the glacial moraine to reach Lobuche.
Day 9 - Lobuche - Gorak Shep - Everest Base Camp
We follow the Khumbu Glacier to Gorak Shep – the final settlement before Everest Base Camp – as the landscape grows ever more rocky and dramatic. We then continue to Base Camp, celebrate this iconic milestone, and you have time to savour the surroundings before we return to Gorak Shep for the night.
Day 10 - Gorak Shep - Kala Pattar
We ascend Kala Pattar for some of the finest views of Everest and the Khumbu Glacier – a breathtaking panorama and a true trip highlight. After the climb, you have the afternoon free to rest and acclimatise – take time to appreciate the stark beauty of this high–altitude outpost.
Day 11 - Gorak Shep - Dzongla
We leave Gorak Shep and trek across rugged valleys towards Dzongla, following quieter trails with dramatic mountain views at every turn.
Day 12 - Dzongla - Thagnak
We tackle the formidable Cho La Pass – one of the region’s high points – crossing snowfields and absorbing vast panoramas on an unforgettable day.
Day 13 - Thagnak - Gokyo
We trek beside the Ngozumpa Glacier – the longest in Nepal – before reaching Gokyo, where turquoise lakes and a serene mountain setting await.
Day 14 - Gokyo
We ascend Gokyo Ri for sweeping views of Everest, Cho Oyu and the glacier below – among the Himalayas’ most impressive vistas. Back in lakeside Gokyo, you can enjoy a peaceful afternoon by the water, wandering quiet trails and soaking up the scenery – an ideal chance to unwind.
Day 15 - Gokyo - Machermo
We descend gently through alpine terrain – passing yak pastures and small settlements – and arrive in Machermo to wide–open views and warm Sherpa hospitality.
Day 16 - Machermo - Dole
We continue our descent through forested slopes and terraced hillsides – a gentle return towards lower elevations – pausing in Dole, where peaceful lodges provide a comfortable stop.
Day 17 - Namche Bazaar
We descend to Namche along a scenic trail that winds through forest, passes tumbling waterfalls and leads through Sherpa villages – a varied and rewarding day with rich cultural moments.
Day 18 - Namche Bazaar - Lukla
We make the long final trek back to Lukla, retracing forested paths and familiar suspension bridges as we savour our last views of the Khumbu. Back in Lukla, we celebrate the completion of our Everest journey – a fitting finale to an unforgettable trek.
Day 19 - Bandipur - Kathmandu - Kathmandu
We drive from Bandipur back to Kathmandu along scenic mountain roads – passing villages, farm terraces and river valleys as we return to the capital. You have free time to rest after the journey or explore the lively lanes of Thamel, and this evening we hold an informal briefing about the tour and the local area.
Day 20 - Kathmandu
We check in for our international flight at Kathmandu Airport and complete departure formalities – then continue our onward journey.
