Itinerary

Day 1 - Oslo

Arrive in Oslo, surrounded by forests and the Oslo fjord. Transfer to your hotel in the city centre. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 2 - Exploring Oslo

Today is free for you to explore Oslo at your own pace. If you'd like, you can book a guided city tour with us, to take in highlights such as Frogner Park and the Vigeland sculptures, the Fram Museum, Royal Palace, City Hall, and Akershus Fortress.

Or you can opt to visit Holmenkollen Ski Jump for a great view of the city and fjord. You can also book an optional afternoon boat tour of Oslo, which lasts for about 1.5 hours.

Day 3 - Oslo to Flam by Scenic Train

Oslo - Flam. Transfer to the train station this morning for your included ride on the iconic Flamsbana railway. Board the train to Myrdal, mountain railway station, located about 13 km from Flam. From here, board the famous Flamsbana, one of the steepest train routes in the world. The journey takes you through stunning landscapes, past the Rallar road, steep mountains, breathtaking waterfalls, and through 20 tunnels, offering multiple incredible viewpoints. Arrive in Flam, where you'll have free time to explore the charming village. The rest of the day is free for leisure.

Day 4 - Fjord Cruise & Journey to Bergen

Flam - Bergen. Depart from Flam by boat – enjoy a cruise on the Aurlandsjord and Naeroyfjord, both parts of the famous Sognefjord, also known as the King of the Fjords. Some consider them the most beautiful fjords in Norway – we’ll leave it to you to decide. Upon arrival in Gudvangen, transfer by bus to Voss, where you'll board a train to Bergen. Arrive late in Bergen and transfer to your hotel.

Day 5 - Bergen at Leisure

Bergen - Tromso. Bergen, the World Heritage City, is the Gateway to the Fjords of Norway. As a UNESCO World Heritage City and a European City of Culture, Bergen combines nature, culture, and vibrant urban life throughout the year.

Explore Bergen at your own pace – visit iconic sites like the Hanseatic Bryggen, St. Mary's Church, Hakon Fortress, and the famous fish market. Take a ride on the spectacular Floibanen Funicular to the top of Mount Floyen for a panoramic view of the city.

In the afternoon, transfer to Bergen airport for your flight to Tromso. Upon arrival, enjoy a private transfer to your hotel and check in.

Day 6 - Entering the Arctic Circle

Take a boat trip on Tromso fjord aboard an authentic wooden boat and admire the Arctic landscape. Enjoy the ride around Tromso Island to unique photography spots, capturing the best views of Tromso fjord and the surrounding mountains. Keep an eye out for local wildlife, such as eagles and seals, as we pass different islands (Kvaloya, Grindoya, and Hakoya). The night is spent back on dry land in Tromso, where the glare of the Midnight Sun illuminates the landscape, even in the middle of the night - hope you remembered your eye mask!

Day 7 - Midnight Sun Cruise

Today, you set sail for the outer coast of Norway, with an unobstructed horizon and nothing but the Barents Sea separating you from the North Pole. Depending on the day, you can take either the ‘south’ or ‘northern’ route along Kvaloya’s coastline, dotted with villages, idyllic boathouses, and fish drying racks. While sailing in the midnight sun or sunset, a guide will watch for birdlife, especially puffins, which nest on remote islands along the Norwegian coast between May and August. Throughout the evening, your guide will share stories and insights about life in the Arctic during these months of increased daylight, the landscape, and other interesting sights along the way.

Day 8 - Tromso

Your tour comes to an end today after breakfast and check out. A private transfer to the airport in Tromso is provided.
