Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival in Oslo!

Upon arrival in Oslo, the capital of Norway, pick up your rental car at the Gardermoen airport then make your way to the hotel for check-in. You will have free time to explore Oslo, surrounded by forests and the beautiful Oslofjord. You can stroll along Karl Johan Street, filled with shops, bars, and cafes, and visit the royal family's town.

Discover the iconic Frogner Park with 212 sculptures by Gustav Vigeland and the historic Akershus Fortress. You can also explore the Fram Museum, showcasing polar expedition ships, or visit the new Munch Museum.

Day 2 - Oslo to Geilo

Oslo - Geilo. After breakfast, this morning you will start your journey to Geilo. This picturesque mountain village, famous for its top-notch skiing and stunning scenery, is approximately a 3.5-hour drive from Oslo. The route winds through the beautiful Hallingdal Valley, where vibrant forests and breathtaking views offer a perfect beginning to your adventure.

Once you arrive in Geilo and check in at the hotel, you will then have the rest of the evening to enjoy exploring the town at your leisure, strolling through the village, or relaxing at a cozy café or restaurant.

Day 3 - Geilo to Flam & Gudvangen Cruise

Geilo - Flam - Gudvangen - Flam. Today, you will continue your journey heading to the quaint village of Flam, situated in the centre of Aurlandsfjord. Once you have arrived in Flam, you will embark on a Fjord cruise to Gudvangen. The cruise takes you through the UNESCO-listed Naeroyfjord, where you’ll be surrounded by towering cliffs, cascading waterfalls, and lush green landscapes, offering breathtaking views at every turn.

After, you will return to Flam by cruise, you will then have the rest of the evening at leisure to experience the nightlife in Flam at your own pace.

Day 4 - Flamsbana Train & Drive to Norhemsund

Flam - Myrdal - Norheimsund. After breakfast, you will embark on the renowned Flamsbana train ride, where you can marvel at breathtaking views of towering mountains, cascading waterfalls, and deep ravines. As you wind through steep valleys and picturesque sights, you'll experience one of the world's most scenic railway journeys.

Return to Flam and get back in the car to start your journey towards Norheimsund, the picturesque village found on the Hardangerfjord. In the evening, take time to unwind in the peaceful surroundings and soak in the natural beauty. You may also choose to visit the stunning Steinsdalsfossen waterfall, where a scenic path allows you to walk behind the cascading water, offering a unique and immersive perspective of this breathtaking landmark.

Day 5 - Norheimsund at Leisure

Today, you will have a full day to experience Norheimsund at your own pace. During your free time, you can explore the area's stunning natural beauty through outdoor activities like hiking or kayaking. Hike along scenic trails that offer breathtaking views of the fjord and surrounding mountains, or paddle through the calm waters for a unique perspective. If you prefer a more relaxed experience, simply unwind by the fjord and soak in the peaceful atmosphere and picturesque landscapes.

Day 6 - Passage to Bergen

Norheimsund - Bergen. After breakfast, you will depart from Norheimsund, making your way to Bergen, Norway’s second-largest city. You can visit the historic Bryggen harbour, renowned for its maritime heritage and vibrant, colourful buildings.

Choose to ride the funicular to view the city, fjords, and surrounding area from a new perspective. At ground level, you will have a chance to explore the fish markets filled with locals, you can try some of the fresh seafood and local delicacies to experience Bergen like a true local. During this time, you will be able to explore the museums, galleries, and charming streets of Bergen.

Day 7 - Journey to Forde

Bergen - Forde. This morning, you will continue your journey towards Førde, a charming town surrounded by stunning landscapes. As you drive, take in the breathtaking views of your surroundings, from majestic fjords and towering mountains to peaceful countryside scenery.

Once you reach Forde, you can explore its charming streets and soak in the town’s tranquil atmosphere. Take a leisurely stroll along your route by the Forde River or visit local parks and cultural sites. Embrace the peaceful surroundings and immerse yourself in the beauty of your scenic destination.

Once there, you will embark on an included cruise through the fjord, renowned for its dramatic scenery and stunning waterfalls, including the Seven Sisters and Bridal Veil. As you sail through the crystal-clear waters, you'll be surrounded by towering cliffs, lush green slopes, and tranquil fjord views.

Once you have arrived back in Geiranger, you can explore the village, or you can venture to Eagle Road, known for its breathtaking views of the Geirangerfjord, the surrounding mountains, and the stunning waterfalls cascading down the cliffs.
