Day 1 - New York
Upon arrival in New York, you'll be transferred to your hotel where you'll have time to relax and explore at your leisure. You will receive details about the tour in the afternoon, or you can view the information on the panels located in the hotel reception area. Enjoy your first day in the vibrant city of New York. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2 - New York
Following breakfast, we'll embark on a panoramic tour of New York City. Our journey takes us through the diverse and vibrant neighbourhoods of Manhattan, encompassing the heights of Uptown and the distinctions of Midtown, down to the historic Lower Manhattan. We will visit notable landmarks including Wall Street, the Rockefeller Center, and the majestic St Patrick�s Cathedral. As we meander through Central Park and pass the bustling Columbus Circle, you'll have views of the impressive AOL/Time Warner Building. Discover the charm of the Village, the rich cultural tapestry of Little Italy, and enjoy a view of the iconic Statue of Liberty from Battery Park. In the evening, immerse yourself in the electrifying atmosphere of Times Square, where we provide a transfer to this lively core of the city. The area, ablaze with the lights of Broadway's theatrical productions, is a fitting way to conclude an exciting day of exploration. Please note, if your accommodation is located in the Times Square area, a transfer will not be provided.
Day 3 - New York - Philadephia - Washington DC
Today, we journey to Philadelphia. Here, we'll explore Independence National Park, home to the iconic Liberty Bell. We then continue to Washington, D.C., the nation's capital. Upon arrival, we include an evening transfer to Georgetown, a vibrant neighbourhood bustling with bars and restaurants, perfect for an evening out. Accommodation will be provided in Washington, D.C.
Day 4 - Washington DC
After a hearty breakfast, we begin our exploration of Washington D.C. Our journey commences with a drive past the Pentagon, and we pause for a photographic opportunity at the iconic Iwo Jima Memorial, both located in Virginia. The tour continues with visits to the Lincoln, Korean War, and Vietnam Veterans Memorials, honouring significant moments in history. We then visit the renowned John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. A photo stop at the White House provides a glimpse of American political heritage, and we also tour the vicinity of the Capitol, concluding our day in Washington's museum district. In the afternoon, we embark on a scenic boat trip along the Potomac River to admire some of the city's key landmarks. Following the cruise, you'll have the opportunity for an optional evening tour of Washington by night before returning to our accommodation. Please note, the Potomac River cruise is unavailable from October to March due to weather conditions.
Day 5 - Washington DC - Lancaster - New York
Following breakfast, we set off from Washington and make our way to Lancaster, renowned for its Amish community. Here, we have the unique opportunity to view the Amish farms and get a glimpse into their 18th-century way of life. We pause during our journey for lunch before continuing to New York. We arrive in the afternoon, giving you time to relax or explore the city at your own pace.
Day 6 - New York
After breakfast, our services conclude, allowing you to explore New York further at your own pace or prepare for your onward journey.
