Day 1 - London
Upon your arrival in London, we'll take care of your transfer to the hotel, allowing you some free time to settle in and explore at your leisure. Later in the afternoon, you'll find all necessary information about the start of your tour displayed on the boards at the hotel reception. This is a great opportunity to relax or perhaps venture out and get your first glimpse of the bustling city. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2 - London
On the second day of your tour in London, immerse yourself in the city's vibrant history and culture with a guided panoramic tour. We'll explore iconic landmarks such as the Houses of Parliament, the River Thames, and Buckingham Palace. If the timing is right, you may even witness the renowned Changing of the Guard ceremony. Day 3 - London - Cambridge - York - Durham
We begin our third day by departing from London and heading north towards the historic town of Cambridge. Here, we’ll take a leisurely stroll to marvel at the magnificent colleges, renowned for their architectural beauty and academic prestige. Following lunch, our journey continues to the city of York, where the majestic cathedral, ancient Roman walls, and bustling shopping streets are sure to capture your imagination. You’ll have some free time to explore further at your own pace. As we progress northward, we’ll arrive in Durham, a vibrant medieval town known for its impressive cathedral standing alongside the castle.
Day 4 - Durham - Alnwick - Edinburgh
We set off for Scotland today, stopping first in the charming town of Alnwick. Known for its enchanting gardens and majestic medieval castle, Alnwick holds a special place as a filming location for the Harry Potter films. We then continue our journey to Edinburgh, where we expect to arrive around midday. As the capital of Scotland and one of Northern Europe's most vibrant cities, Edinburgh boasts a monumental centre that has rightfully earned a UNESCO World Heritage designation. Dominated by its imposing castle, the city is interwoven with steep streets and lush parks. Upon arrival, we will embark on a panoramic tour led by a local guide, offering us a glimpse into the rich history and vibrant atmosphere of this spectacular city.
Day 5 - Edinburgh
Today offers a splendid opportunity to immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of Edinburgh at your own pace. Whether you choose to wander its historic streets, discover hidden gems, or delve into its rich cultural heritage, the day is yours to explore. From the majestic Edinburgh Castle to the winding Royal Mile, enjoy the sights and sounds that make this city truly unforgettable. Remember to take in some of the city's renowned landmarks and perhaps sample the local cuisine.
Day 6 - Edinburgh - The Kelpies - Stirling - Pitlochry - Culloden - Inverness
Upon departing Edinburgh, we pause to capture the striking images of The Kelpies, towering sculptures inspired by Scottish myth. These impressive horse heads symbolise the beauty and power of these creatures, alongside their deep connection to both water and land. Continuing to Stirling, we delve into its historic centre, dominated by its grand castle—an architectural marvel that has witnessed many pivotal moments in Scottish history, including legendary battles and royal coronations. Our visit to the castle is included, allowing you to explore its storied walls.Our journey then takes us north to Pitlochry, a charming town at the heart of the Scottish whisky-producing region. Here, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy lunch and a stroll amidst its picturesque surroundings. As we continue our travels, our next stop is Culloden—the site of a significant battle in Scottish history. The confrontation between Scottish and British forces here had far-reaching effects, leading to laws aimed at suppressing Scottish culture and traditions.In the evening, we arrive in Inverness, famously known as the "Capital of the Highlands." Its castle prominently overlooks the town. We recommend a scenic walk along the River Ness and across the famous suspension bridge. Please note that our visit to Culloden may vary depending on the time of year and daylight, possibly taking place on a Monday.
Day 7 - Inverness
Today promises to be an exciting adventure through the hauntingly beautiful landscapes of northern Scotland, featuring dense forests, tranquil lochs, and dramatic fjords. We will start our day with a visit to the enchanting Eilean Donan Castle, picturesquely positioned at the water's edge of the fjord. Entry is included, allowing you to explore this iconic site at your leisure.Our journey then takes us to Fort Augustus, where you can view the intricate sluice gate system. There will be time to enjoy a leisurely lunch and a stroll in this charming setting before we proceed to the legendary Loch Ness. Here, enjoy an included boat tour on the loch's dark and mysterious waters, casting your eyes over the expansive views and possibly even spotting the elusive Loch Ness Monster.Next on the itinerary is a visit to Urquhart Castle, a medieval stronghold with sweeping views over Loch Ness; admission is included. Our day culminates back in Inverness, the vibrant capital of the Highlands, located at the mouth of the famous loch. Day 8 - Inverness - Fort William - Inveraray - Loch Lomond - Glasgow
Today, we continue our exploration of Scotland's breathtaking landscapes. Our journey begins with a stop at Spean Bridge, where we will visit a monument honouring the Second World War. Next, we head to Fort William, a popular tourist destination situated at the foot of Ben Nevis, the United Kingdom's highest peak. We will then pass by the iconic ruins of Kilchurn Castle, magnificently set beside a sombre lake. Our route leads us to Inveraray, a charming historic village nestled by Loch Fyne, known for its grand castle and tranquil streets. Here, we will pause for lunch and perhaps a leisurely stroll. Our day ends with a scenic drive along the shores of Loch Lomond before arriving in Glasgow. You will have the evening to explore this vibrant city's bustling centre.
Day 9 - Glasgow - Belfast - Dublin
Departing from Glasgow, we set off towards the southern coast of Scotland, where we'll board a ferry at Cairnryan. This crossing takes us to Northern Ireland, arriving in Belfast, a city rich in history and on a path of renewal from its turbulent past. From Belfast, we continue our journey south into the Republic of Ireland, with our final destination being Dublin, where we are expected to arrive by the end of the day. Here, you'll have the chance to start soaking in the vibrant atmosphere of Ireland’s capital.
Day 10 - Dublin
Our morning in Dublin begins with an engaging panoramic tour of Ireland’s enchanting capital. As we wander along the serene banks of the River Liffey, we'll discover the city's lush parks, walk past its historic university, and explore the bustling downtown streets. We'll also have the chance to admire the exterior of the esteemed Trinity College, a cornerstone of academic heritage. The rest of the afternoon is yours to explore Dublin at your own pace – whether you're interested in visiting museums, enjoying local cuisine, or simply soaking up the vibrant atmosphere. Please note that, depending on our arrival in Dublin and the availability of daylight, the city tour might occur on the previous afternoon.
Day 11 - Dublin - Powerscourt - Kilkenny - Cashel - Cork
On this eleventh day of your journey, we will depart from Dublin to visit the renowned Powerscourt Gardens, located just a short distance away. These magnificent gardens, designed in the 18th century, are celebrated as Ireland's most beautiful, with features such as elegant fountains, serene Japanese Gardens, and even a pet cemetery to explore (admission included). After soaking in the beauty of Powerscourt, we will continue our journey to the vibrant town of Kilkenny. Here, you will have the opportunity to enjoy lunch and explore the lively streets at your leisure. Our travels then take us further south to the impressive Rock of Cashel. This grand medieval fortress is both a historic and cultural symbol of Ireland's enduring struggle against English rule (admission included). As evening approaches, we will arrive in Cork, Ireland’s second-largest city, where you’ll have time to wander through the city centre. A delightful dinner will be provided as we conclude this enriching day in Cork.
Day 12 - Cork - Kinsale - Killarney - Limerick
Today, we set off from Cork towards the charming seaside town of Kinsale. En route, we'll make a stop at Charles Fort to soak in the breathtaking ocean views from this impressive 17th-century bastion. Take some time to wander through Kinsale's historic centre, often celebrated as one of Ireland's most picturesque coastal towns. Our journey then takes us to Killarney, a bustling tourist spot nestled in the heart of Ireland. Here, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy lunch and take a leisurely stroll through the town.Among the highlights of your day will be a serene Jaunting Car Tour through the enchanting Killarney National Park. This tour is included and will transport you through gardens and along the lake, leading to Ross Castle with its stunning lakeside scenery. We also include a brief boat cruise on the lake, allowing you to further relish the area's natural beauty.Following this, we'll pause briefly in Adare, a quaint village known for its charming stone and thatched-roof cottages as well as the remnants of an ancient abbey. Day 13 - Limerick - Cliffs of Moher - Galway
Today promises an enriching journey beginning at Bunratty's Folk Park—an immersive experience where you'll step back in time to explore Irish life through traditional cottages and old marketplaces. Here, you'll also visit the castle, a meticulous recreation of medieval life. Next, we head to Caherconnell to see the Poulnabrone Dolmen, an ancient portal tomb, and you might also have the chance to watch dogs herding sheep, showcasing traditional skills. Our highlight for the day is the majestic Cliffs of Moher, offering breathtaking views of the Atlantic. If you're keen, you can walk up to O’Brien’s Tower for an even more spectacular vista. Our route continues via Burren National Park, known for its unique limestone landscapes and rich biodiversity. Day 14 - Galway - Clonmacnoise - Dublin

Here, you'll explore the ruins of the Royal Abbey and wander around the grounds of the magnificent Ashford Castle, a medieval fortification that has since been transformed into a luxurious hotel. Our journey continues to Clonmacnoise, where we’ll immerse ourselves in history with a guided tour of the atmospheric Celtic monastic ruins (admission included). As the day draws to a close, we’ll make our way back to Dublin, arriving in the evening, where the vibrancy of the city awaits you.
Day 15 - Dublin - Caernarfon - Liverpool
We embark on an early morning ferry crossing, taking us from Ireland to the enchanting shores of Wales in a journey lasting between three and three and a half hours. Once we arrive, our first destination is Caernarfon, a coastal town recognised as a World Heritage Site, thanks to its formidable castle. You'll have the opportunity to enjoy lunch and explore the quaint surroundings at your own pace. Our journey continues as we head to Liverpool. Here, you'll take part in a brief bus tour to acquaint yourself with this vibrant city, known for its rich maritime history and status as a World Heritage Site. Liverpool boasts the second-largest port in the United Kingdom. If you're intrigued by music history, you might consider visiting The Beatles Museum to delve into the legacy of the legendary band. After your explorations, you'll settle in for the night, reflecting on the day's adventures.
Day 16 - Liverpool - Stratford - Oxford - London
We'll embark on a journey through central England today, with our first stop at Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of the legendary playwright Shakespeare. Here, you'll have time to indulge in lunch and explore this charming town at your own pace. Our adventure continues as we make our way to Oxford.
