Trips Starting from Riga

Very interesting tour. Was very good. Tour was a bit fast for an old person. I would love to have lingered another day in each place, but I understand the need for speed for younger people.

We loved Kaspars humor. He kept the tour interesting. The hotels were great with nice breakfast options. Getting charged for extra tours. Just put it on the itinerary and charge a little more.

On the excursion side, the Coronian Spit and the visit to Rundale Palace were both excellent. We enjoyed all the capital cities but were particularly impressed by Riga. we only did breakfasts as part of the itinerary so our rating is based only on those Pärnu, apart from breaking up the journey, didn't give much.

Rundale Palace was amazing. The tour guide, Olaf, was funny and very informative. The tour guide for the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania was not very interesting.

The tour itself was very good. Got to visit some very intersting areas (Curonian Spit) as well as the three capitals. Hotels were all of very good quality and great location (except for the hotel in Nida, which was pretty basic and had some safety issues) Tour guide was helpful and friendly. No transfer to meet us on arrival at Vilnius. Hotel in Vilnius did not have our pre-tour accom booking for 10 Sep, and initally said hotel was fully booked. No transfer arrived on departure from Tallinn - had to pay for our own taxi. Nida hotel using emergency staircase to store mattresses & cots.

The most moving place was the Museum of Occupations and Freedom Fights in Vilnius. We did the trip on our own as it was about five minutes walk from hotel and cost us 6-Euro. An extra day in Curonian Spit and Liepaja would be great. We loved td the Art Hotel in Liepaja, it was stunning! The hotel in Nida was not up the standard of the rest of the trip. It was shabby and there were fruit flies at breakfast. The beds were narrow with thin mattress. Our taxi to the airport for our return flight did not show up but the company agreed to refund us.

We enjoyed every city and town walking tours. Our guide, Janis, was knowledgeable and passionate. They were at a good pace with time to sightsee and gather further information. The itinerary was great offering a wide variety of attractions both in the city and country areas. The breakfasts were good Both of the optional dinners we attended were very disappointing in time allocated, quality of the meals and were overpriced. Very disappointing!

The tour overall was very good. I mostly enjoyed tours in the regional areas away from the cities and ones that focussed on local craft and art Leipaja in Latvia and the Curion split were highlights. The Art Hotel Roma was particularly good. Yes while the accomodation was very good the hotel in Nida on the Curion Split was a one star hotel. Shabby room in old dated building with old worn mattress, There was no wifi and no English TV or tea/coffee facilities in the room. It was very disappointing.
