Day 1 - Prague
Upon your arrival in Prague, we will transfer you directly from the airport to your hotel. Once checked in, make sure to consult the information boards in the reception area for details about our welcome meeting with your guide, where you'll receive an overview of the upcoming adventures. In the evening, we will whisk you away to the vibrant Old Town Square. This lively meeting hub for both locals and tourists offers a range of dining options. You can enjoy dinner at any of the numerous restaurants, which serve a delectable assortment of international cuisines including Czech, Chinese, Indian, and Italian. After a fulfilling evening, we will provide a return transfer to your hotel, ensuring a seamless and comfortable transition into your Prague experience. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2 - Prague
On the second day, we will delve into the captivating city of Prague, celebrated as the Baroque gem of Europe. Our day begins with an enlightening panoramic tour led by a knowledgeable local guide, showcasing the city's most remarkable landmarks. A visit to the iconic Prague Castle is included, allowing us to explore this historic fortress. Following this, we will enjoy a scenic boat journey along the Vltava River, providing a unique perspective of Prague's stunning architecture and bridges. The afternoon is yours to explore at leisure—discover more of Prague's rich history, indulge in its vibrant café culture, or perhaps find a quiet spot to relax and watch the world go by.
Day 3 - Prague - Munich - Innsbruck
We will set off early from Prague, venturing into the scenic region of Bavaria in Germany. By midday, we’ll arrive in Munich, where you will have free time to explore the historic city centre and savour a leisurely lunch. After our visit to Munich, we will continue our journey towards Austria. Nestled in the heart of the Alps, Innsbruck awaits with its charming Tyrolean capital appeal. Here, you'll have time to wander the old town and perhaps enjoy dinner in the vibrant Golden Roof area, known for its picturesque medieval architecture and delightful dining options, before we set off again.
Day 4 - Innsbruck - Zurich
Begin your day with a visit to the renowned Swarovski Museum in Innsbruck, where we’ll delve into the mesmerising world of crystal creation and admire the beautifully designed gardens. After this captivating experience, we’ll take some time for you to wander leisurely on your own. Our journey then takes us through the scenic Tyrolean landscape as we head to Zurich. In the evening, you’ll have the opportunity to explore Zurich’s historic centre by the lakeside, where an assortment of dining options awaits, offering cuisines ranging from Indian to Swiss.
Day 5 - Zurich - Lucerne - Zurich
Today, we embark on a journey through breathtaking landscapes of towering mountains and clear lakes, set against the backdrop of the stunning Interlaken region. Our first stop is Grindelwald, where we'll enjoy a short break for coffee before ascending the mountain via cable car. Upon reaching the summit, you can take a leisurely walk along a winding path leading to a suspended bridge. For the more daring among us, crossing the bridge offers dramatic views of the surrounding glaciers. After a memorable mountain lunch, we'll descend and make our way to Lucerne, one of Switzerland's most picturesque cities. Here, you'll have time to wander and enjoy the charming cityscape before we return to Zurich. For those interested, your guide will propose an optional full-day excursion in the morning, which includes more free time in Lucerne followed by a rotating cable car ride to the peak of Mount Titlis. At over 3,000 metres above sea level, the summit provides breathtaking views of the glacier and the expansive Alps.
Day 6 - Zurich - Bellinzona - Como - Milan
We will set off from Zurich in the morning, venturing across the Alps into the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland. Our first stop is Bellinzona, celebrated for its trio of medieval castles that proudly stand as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. These structures, positioned on the hills, underscore Bellinzona's historical importance as a significant alpine fortress. You'll have some leisure time to explore the quaint streets of the city centre. Following this, we'll cross into Italy, pausing in the picturesque town of Como for lunch. Often referred to as the jewel of Lombardy, Como impresses with its exquisite lakeside gardens and stunning cathedral. Our journey then takes us to Milan, where our guide will lead us around the stunning Piazza del Duomo. Later, you can unwind as we transport you to your hotel for a relaxing evening.
Day 7 - Milan - Pisa - Rome
Today, we'll venture to the renowned city of Pisa. Our day begins with a delightful journey on a small tourist train to the renowned Piazza dei Miracoli, also known as the Square of Miracles. Here, you'll have the opportunity to admire the remarkable art complex that includes the iconic Leaning Tower of Pisa, a masterpiece of medieval engineering and architecture. Once we've basked in the artistic splendour of Pisa, we'll set off towards Rome, aiming to arrive later in the day. Here, a city steeped in history awaits to greet us with its timeless charm.
Day 8 - Rome
In the heart of the Eternal City, we commence our exploration with a three-hour guided tour, seamlessly blending a walking excursion through Imperial Rome with a panoramic bus trip. This journey through time and history allows us to uncover the grandeur of one of the most pivotal cities in Western civilisation. Highlights include the majestic Arch of Constantine, the imposing exterior of the Colosseum, the awe-inspiring Imperial Forums, the expansive Circus Maximus, the historic Baths of Caracalla, the intricate Basilica of Saint Mary Major, the distinctive Pyramid of Cestius, and the formidable Castel Sant'Angelo. Our tour concludes around 11:00 a.m. at Vatican City. Here, your guide will propose an optional in-depth visit to the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel, offering further insights into the artistic and spiritual heritage of the Vatican. As the day unwinds, we'll provide a transfer to the vibrant neighbourhood of Trastevere, celebrated for its inviting restaurants and lively ambience. We'll return to the hotel at approximately 8:30 p.m., rounding off a day steeped in history and culture.
Day 9 - Rome - Florence
Today, we depart from Rome, heading north through picturesque landscapes towards Florence. Upon arrival, we'll visit the remarkable Piazzale Michelangelo, providing sweeping views of the city. Following this, we'll make our way to the historic centre for a guided walking tour led by a local expert. This tour will take us to iconic sites such as the Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo, and Piazza della Signoria, showcasing Florence's vibrant history and art – it's like stepping into an open-air museum. After the tour, you'll have some free time to explore Florence further at your own pace. As night falls, you'll find plenty of dining options in the area, offering a wide array of international cuisines for you to enjoy.
Day 10 - Florence - Venice
Today, prepare to be captivated as we journey through the breathtaking mountain landscapes of the Apennines to the enchanting city of Venice. Upon our arrival, we'll take a scenic boat ride across the Giudecca Canal to the Island of Venice. Accompanied by a local guide, we'll explore the splendid St. Mark's Square, a true icon of Venetian grandeur. Following this, we'll visit the famed Murano Glass Factory, where you'll witness the fascinating age-old techniques of glass-making. You will then have some free time to discover Venice at your own pace, perhaps wander through its narrow alleyways or linger by its canals. Accommodation for the night will be provided in the Mestre district, a perfect base to continue your Venetian adventure.
Day 11 - Venice - Innsbruck - Salzburg
We will set off from Venice and head towards Austria. Upon reaching Innsbruck, you'll have the opportunity to wander through the charming historic city centre and savour lunch in this picturesque Tyrolean capital. Following our time in Innsbruck, we'll embark on a scenic journey through the mountains to the delightful village of Kitzbühel. This picturesque ski resort offers breathtaking views and, thanks to its elevation, often boasts snow throughout most of the year, making it an ideal place to explore. Our journey will then continue as we make our way to Salzburg, where we'll arrive by the end of the day. It's worth noting that if our group is small, the journey from Venice to Innsbruck might be by train.
Day 12 - Salzburg - Lake Traunsee - Vienna
Today, we delve deeper into Austria, beginning with a tour of Salzburg, famously known as Mozart's birthplace. The city's Renaissance and Baroque architecture stands proudly beneath the shadow of a magnificent castle, providing a picturesque view. Following our exploration of Salzburg, we will venture through stunning landscapes of lakes and mountains to St. Wolfgang, a significant pilgrimage destination in Austria. Our journey continues to the charming town of Traunkirchen, situated on the shores of the splendid Traunsee Lake. Here, we embark on a cruise, included in your itinerary, to view four enchanting castles that line the lake. We will disembark in the town of Gmunden before proceeding to Vienna, where we will arrive in the evening.
Day 13 - Vienna
Today, we will begin our exploration of Vienna with a guided panoramic tour. Our local guide will lead us through the city's grand avenues, past its splendid palaces, and into the lively city centre, offering you a glimpse of Austria's vibrant capital. In the afternoon, you have the freedom to discover Vienna at your own pace, perhaps visiting some of its renowned museums or enjoying its café culture. In the evening, we'll transfer you to the charming Grinzing district. Known for its traditional taverns and rich wine-growing heritage, this area offers an authentic Viennese dining experience. Here, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy dinner and soak in the local atmosphere at your leisure.
Day 14 - Vienna
