Day 1 - Paris
Welcome to Paris. Upon arrival, we provide a transfer to your hotel where you will have some free time to relax and settle in. In the afternoon, we will share important information about the start of your tour, either in person or via the details posted at the hotel reception. This is yours to enjoy at your own pace, giving you a gentle introduction to the city before the journey truly begins.
Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour.
Day 2 - Paris
We begin the day with a visit to the magnificent Palace of Versailles, famed for its vast, beautifully maintained gardens and historical significance as the former royal residence (entrance not included). On our return to Paris, we explore Montmartre, a bohemian quarter known for its artistic heritage, charming streets, and lively cabarets. To round off the day, we take a panoramic tour of Paris with a local guide, highlighting the city’s grand boulevards and iconic landmarks. Afterwards, we head back to the hotel. In the evening, you may choose to attend an optional variety show.
Day 3 - Paris - Rouen
We begin the day in central Paris with a visit to the iconic Eiffel Tower, where we include tickets to the second floor for impressive city views. Following this, we enjoy a relaxing boat cruise along the Seine, offering a different perspective of the capital’s landmarks. The afternoon is free for you to explore Paris at your leisure. Around 4:00 p.m., we depart for Normandy and travel to Rouen. Upon arrival, you’ll have free time to wander the historic centre of this vibrant city, known for its Roman origins, charming medieval streets, and the striking Gothic cathedral that dominates the skyline. Please note, if queue times at the Eiffel Tower are lengthy, we may reschedule the visit to a more convenient time during the stay.
Day 4 - Rouen - English Channel - Canterbury - London
This morning, we have some free time to explore the centre of Rouen at a relaxed pace. Afterwards, we travel north through France and board the ferry across the English Channel. Upon arrival in England, we head to Canterbury, renowned for its historic and religious significance. From there, we continue to London where you will have some free time around Tower Bridge — one of the city’s most iconic landmarks — before we make our way to the hotel for the evening.
Day 5 - London
We begin the day with a panoramic tour of London led by a local guide, highlighting the city’s rich culture and history. You will see iconic landmarks such as the Houses of Parliament, the River Thames, and Buckingham Palace, where you may have the chance to witness the famous Changing of the Guard, depending on the schedule. In the evening, we will meet at Piccadilly for a leisurely walk through Leicester Square, Chinatown, and Soho—areas known for their vibrant atmosphere, theatres, and entertainment. You’ll have plenty of options to choose from for dinner before we return to the hotel.
Day 6 - London - Colchester - Colchester - Volendam Ferry
In the morning, we visit the British Museum, one of the world’s oldest museums, where we explore exhibits showcasing cultures from across the globe. At lunchtime, you’ll have some free time to enjoy Camden, a lively district known for its eclectic street market. Here, you can browse stalls offering unique items and sample a variety of food from the many restaurants and food stands. Around 4:00 p.m., we depart for Colchester, England’s oldest recorded town, and take a relaxed walk through its historic streets. Later, we continue to Harwich to board the ferry for an overnight crossing to the Netherlands, travelling in comfortable en suite cabins. Please note that, due to limited cabin availability, there may be adjustments to the itinerary, including alternative travel options such as a daytime ferry with an overnight stay in Antwerp, or train or flight transfers to Amsterdam.
Day 7 - Colchester - Volendam Ferry - Volendam - Amsterdam
We arrive in the Netherlands at Hoek van Holland around eight in the morning and travel to Volendam, a charming fishing village known for its traditional character and waterfront views. Afterwards, we continue to Amsterdam for a guided city tour that highlights key sites, including the iconic windmill and Rembrandt statue, the modern elegance of the South District, and the historic craft of diamond cutting around Museum Square. The tour concludes with a walk into the city centre, where you will have free time to explore at your leisure.
Day 8 - Amsterdam - Brussels - Paris
After breakfast, we travel to Belgium, reaching Brussels—home to the main European institutions and a city where elegance meets multicultural charm. We will admire the impressive Grand Place, a fine example of Flemish Baroque architecture, and stroll past the famous Manneken Pis statue. Brussels offers a unique blend of history, chocolate culture, and modern life. In the afternoon, we continue our journey back to France, arriving in Paris late in the day.
