Begin in Rajkot and finish in Diu on this 8 day journey through Gujarat’s legends and landscapes. In Rajkot you’ll wander Jubilee Garden and colonial era museums, then head to Dwarka to visit the Dwarkadhish shrine and the Nageshwar Jyotirlinga. Detour via Porbandar – Gandhi’s birthplace – before Somnath’s famed temple, caves and Sun Mandir. Track wildlife in Sasan Gir – the last home of the Asiatic lion – with time for bird spotting, plus an excursion to historic Junagadh and Ashoka’s rock edicts. Round things off in laid back Diu – explore the Portuguese fort and old town, then relax on sweeping beaches.

Itinerary
Day 1 - Rajkot
Arrive in Rajkot. On landing at Rajkot airport, we meet you for assistance and transfer to your hotel. Later, we visit Jubilee Garden – home to colonial-era landmarks including MG High School, Kaba Gandhi No Delo, Rashtriya Shala, the Watson Museum, Lang Library and the Rotary Midtown Library. Overnight in Rajkot.
Day 2 - Rajkot
Rajkot to Dwarka – 225 km – approximately 4 hours by road. We drive to Dwarka and check in at the hotel, then visit the Dwarkadhish Temple, dedicated to Krishna, and the Nageshwar Temple, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas. The rest of the day is free for you to relax on the beach. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3 - Dwarka - Porbandar
Dwarka – Porbandar – Somnath (230 km – approx. 5 hours). We drive to Somnath via Porbandar, the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi. On arrival in Somnath we check in at the hotel, then later visit Somnath Temple, Paanch Pandav Caves and Sun Mandir. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4 - Somnath
Somnath – Sasan Gir National Park (45 km – approximately 1 hour). We drive to Sasan Gir National Park and check in at the resort. Later, we set out on a Gypsy safari in Gir Wildlife Sanctuary – the only place outside Africa where lions live in the wild, and also an excellent area for birdwatching. Safari operations in Sasan Gir National Park are suspended from June to September due to the monsoon. Overnight at the resort.
Day 5 - Sasan Gir National Park - Junagadh
Sasan Gir National Park – Excursion to Junagadh (60 km – around 1 hour each way). We set out for a morning jeep safari in the national park, then drive to Junagadh, an ancient fortified city at the foot of the temple–studded Girnar Hill where Ashoka inscribed 14 edicts on a large boulder. We drive back to Sasan Gir – overnight at the resort.
Day 6 - Sasan Gir National Park
Sasan Gir – Diu (100 km – approx. 2 hours). We drive to Diu and check in at the hotel. Later, we visit Diu Fort, an imposing stronghold on the island’s coast, and explore the old town to see mansions once owned by wealthy Portuguese and Indian merchants. You then have free time to relax on the beach. Overnight at hotel.
Day 7 - Diu
After breakfast at the hotel, the day is free – you can relax on the beach and spend time on personal activities at your own pace. There are no scheduled visits today, allowing you to rest or explore independently. We stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 8 - Diu
After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll transfer you to the airport in line with your flight schedule for your onward journey.
