Itinerary
Day 1 - Amman
On arrival at Amman International Airport, we meet and welcome you, then transfer you to your city hotel to check in and begin your Jordan journey.
Day 2 - Amman - Jerash
We travel north from Amman through rolling hills and traditional villages to Jerash, one of the region’s most impressive archaeological sites. In this remarkably preserved Greco–Roman city we walk the oval Forum, visit the Nymphaeum and admire the Temple of Artemis overlooking the ruins. We then return to Amman and visit the interactive Children’s Museum, where youngsters explore exhibits ranging from the human body and ancient civilisations to space – with hands–on activities, flight simulators and outdoor displays making for a lively couple of hours.
Day 3 - Amman - Madaba - Kerak - Petra
We head to Madaba to see its Byzantine heritage, visiting St George’s Church to view the famous 6th–century mosaic map of the Holy Land. Continuing south towards Wadi Mujib, we pause to stretch our legs and take in sweeping views over the dramatic canyon and surrounding hills – a fine moment for photos. We carry on to Kerak to explore the vast Crusader castle, delving into tunnels, halls and ramparts – children often enjoy using torches to discover the passageways and imagine life in a medieval fortress. We then follow the King’s Highway to Petra and settle in near the site – ready for tomorrow’s exploration.
Day 4 - Petra
We spend the day exploring Petra, the breathtaking Nabataean capital and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. We walk the narrow Siq to the Treasury, then continue among rock–hewn tombs and temples, tracing the colonnaded streets that once thrived with traders and pilgrims.
Day 5 - Petra - Wadi Rum
Leaving Petra, we travel south into the spectacular desert of Wadi Rum, passing rugged sandstone mountains and vast open sands. On arrival we set out on an adventurous jeep safari beneath towering cliffs, then join local Bedouin hosts for an authentic cultural encounter – walking with shepherds, learning traditional crafts and sharing a freshly prepared meal in their desert camp. As the sun sets over the sandstone peaks, we enjoy a gentle camel ride – a memorable family experience and a wonderful time for photographs.
Day 6 - Aqaba
We leave the desert for the Red Sea resort of Aqaba, descending from sandy canyons to the coast and arriving in time for an afternoon by the water. You can swim, snorkel or simply unwind at the beach resort, taking in views of the surrounding mountains and Jordan’s southern coastline.
Day 7 - Aqaba - Amman
We travel north along the Jordan Valley to the Dead Sea, passing salt flats and tracing the shoreline with mountains rising to the east. We relax and float effortlessly in the mineral–rich waters at the lowest point on Earth, smooth on the therapeutic mud and capture the classic newspaper photo as we drift. Later we climb back through the hills towards Amman, enjoying final views over the Rift Valley en route. You have the afternoon at leisure to explore the capital – you can wander historic districts, discover cafés and markets, or visit highlights such as the Citadel and the Roman Theatre.
Day 8 - Amman
You have some free time in Amman before your scheduled airport transfer – we collect you from your hotel and take you to Queen Alia International Airport in good time for your departure flight.
