Along the way, you'll be captivated by the sight of Berber villages nestled along dramatic gorges. A highlight of our adventure is the visit to Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site famed for its appearances in numerous films. We'll also stop in Ouarzazate, where the imposing Kasbah provides a glimpse into the region's storied past. Our route continues through the enchanting Valley of Roses, leading us to Boumalne Dades. Here, a delightful dinner awaits. Please note that during winter, snow may occasionally block roads, in which case alternative plans will be arranged. Access to the Sahara Desert is subject to road conditions.
Day 4 - Boumalne Dades - Todgha - Erfoud
Set off on an exhilarating journey through the dazzling landscapes of the Sahara Desert, traversing the remarkable Valley of the Kasbahs. Our route leads us through scenic river valleys, lined with towering palm trees, and over rocky plains that seamlessly blend into lush oases and adobe villages. You will witness the formidable fortresses that guard these ancient routes. A highlight of our journey includes visiting the awe-inspiring Todgha Gorge, where sheer canyon walls rise over 100 metres. En route, we'll pause at a small adobe town near Khorbat to learn about the local desert community. Please note that access may be impacted by weather conditions, such as river flooding. Our journey then continues towards Erfoud. If you're up for an optional adventure, an off-road excursion to the Sahara Desert's sand dunes offers a stunning sunset view. A satisfying lunch is included in our day's plan.
Day 5 - Erfoud - Fes
We begin our day with an early departure from Erfoud, embarking on a captivating journey across the Atlas Mountains. This route offers dramatic vistas of towering gorges and breathtaking terrain. Our travels take us over a high plateau, home to nomadic shepherds who graze their flocks in this chilly expanse. A brief pause in Midelt—a commercial hub recognised for its agricultural significance—offers a glimpse into local life. We will then continue our journey, stopping for an included lunch in the heart of the Middle Atlas, amidst a stunning natural setting by a serene lake. As we press on, notice how the landscape transforms into dense forests, where snow frequently blankets the earth in winter. Near Azrou, we will visit the "House of Cedars" within a national park. This small museum offers an insightful view into the region's heritage and natural history. Here, lively colonies of monkeys provide an engaging spectacle as they frolic among the trees. Next, we will explore Bhalil, a quaint Berber town nestled in the Middle Atlas. Known for its colourful old town, Bhalil features unique dwellings where traditional cave homes have been integrated into the architecture. Our day concludes in Fez, where before we retire to our hotel, we will take a moment to enjoy the panoramic views of this ancient city from the Marinid Tombs. Dinner awaits, rounding off a day filled with remarkable landscapes and cultural insights.

Known as Morocco's cultural heart, Fez boasts an incredible Medina that captures the essence of traditional Arab life like no other place. With our exploration complete, we enjoy an included lunch at a historic palace nestled within the Medina. In the afternoon, our journey takes us northward along a modern highway, arriving in Tangier by evening. We conclude the day with dinner, which is included.
