Day 1 - Dubai
Upon your arrival in the Emirates, you'll be greeted at the airport and whisked away to your hotel to settle in. As the day draws to a close, we'll venture out to explore the resplendent city of Dubai, which comes alive at night. Prepare to be captivated by the mesmerising display at the Dubai Fountain, where water pirouettes to rhythms of music and light. This spectacle takes place at the base of the iconic Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest tower at 828 metres. Afterwards, enjoy free time to stroll and dine (note that dinner isn't included) at the vast and vibrant Dubai Mall. We'll then return to the hotel for the night. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2 - Dubai
We have an exciting day planned today, exploring the modern and historical marvels of Dubai. Our adventure begins with a visit to the iconic Dubai Frame, the world's largest picture frame, where we take in panoramic vistas of both the old and new parts of the city. Next, we delve into the rich history of Dubai by strolling through the vibrant Bur Dubai Souq and the aromatic Spice Souq. We then take a traditional Abra boat ride to the Al Fahidi Historic District, a journey through time where we visit the Centre for Cultural Understanding with its welcoming motto, 'Open Minds, Open Doors.’ In this district, we'll enjoy a traditional Emirati meal in a beautifully preserved building. If our group comprises more than 15 travellers, we'll also receive an insightful introduction to Emirati cuisine.In the afternoon, we pass by the magnificent Jumeirah Mosque—one of the most renowned architectural landmarks in the city. Our exploration continues to the prestigious Burj Al Arab, known for its distinctive sail-shaped silhouette, and we'll journey through the remarkable Palm Jumeirah, a man-made island shaped like a palm tree. A monorail trip offers us stunning views, before we conclude our day with a leisurely walk through the vibrant La Marina area. You’ll have some free time to relax at JBR Beach, one of Dubai's most popular and lively beaches, perfect for soaking up the sun or enjoying the local café scene.
Day 3 - Dubai - Abu Dhabi
Following a hearty breakfast, we set off for Abu Dhabi, the capital and most significant emirate in the United Arab Emirates. Our first stop, before reaching the city, is Ferrari World. Here, we take in the spectacular outdoor areas of this theme park, which celebrates the iconic Ferrari brand. Next, we visit the Sheikh Zayed Mosque, renowned as the largest in the Emirates. Its vast 12-hectare expanse serves as a meeting point for cultures and religions, and the mosque is a striking example of Islamic architecture. As we continue our journey, we drive past the Capital Gate, a remarkable 160-metre-high skyscraper famously known for its tilt. From the picturesque Corniche, we enjoy a panoramic view of the city's skyline.Our exploration continues with a visit to the Heritage Village, where admission is included. Here, we delve into Emirati traditions, browse craft shops, and explore small museums that provide insights into the country's rich history. Lunch is provided in the city centre, allowing you to savour local flavours. In the afternoon, we gain access to Qasr Al Watan, the Emirates' presidential palace. This architectural masterpiece, with its impressive 37-metre dome and stunning chandelier composed of 350,000 glass pieces, offers a glimpse into the nation's leadership.Later, we venture into the cultural district, home to various museums, including the Louvre Abu Dhabi, celebrated for its striking seaside architecture and world-class collection. You have the option to explore one of the district's museums or enjoy free time in the area. Nearby, we stop to view the Abrahamic Family House, an extraordinary complex housing a church, mosque, and synagogue within one space. Our day concludes with a visit to The Founders Memorial, dedicated to Zayed, the first ruler of the Emirates. Here, the Constellation, an evocative installation, captivates with its magnificent night-time illumination.
Day 4 - Abu Dhabi - Al Ain
Today we journey to the remarkable oasis city of Al Ain, recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Our day begins with a scenic drive through sweeping sandy deserts, taking just over two hours to reach this historical city. On arrival, we will visit Qasr Al Muwaiji, a fortress-cum-museum marking the birthplace of Sheikh Zayed, the first president of the Emirates. Our exploration continues at the Al Jahili Fort, a striking example of traditional adobe architecture. The Sheikh Zayed Museum offers enriching insights into life in Al Ain a century ago. Lunch will be provided as part of our visit.In the afternoon, we will explore the extensive Al Ain Oasis by small electric vehicles, allowing us to marvel at its lush gardens, date palm groves, and smart irrigation systems. Following this, you will have free time to wander through local bazaars or relax by the hotel pool. Dinner is also included this evening.
Day 5 - Al Ain - Fujairah
Today begins with a morning visit to the Camel Market, a lively place bustling with the trade of livestock, including sheep, goats, horses, and notably, camels. It's a fascinating insight into local commerce and traditions. Once our visit concludes, we journey through the mountainous landscape towards the Gulf of Oman, pausing en route at Al Hayl Fort. Nestled beside a small oasis in a valley flanked by mountains, this stop offers a glimpse into the area's history and natural beauty.Our next destination is Fujairah, the capital city of one of the emirates closest to the Omani border. Upon arrival, you'll have free time to enjoy lunch at your leisure. In the afternoon, we explore Fujairah, starting with the grand Sheikh Zayed Mosque. This remarkable structure, with its towering minarets reaching a height of 100 metres, is the second-largest mosque in the United Arab Emirates. We also visit the adobe fortress and the Fujairah Museum, where we can learn about the city's origins. There will also be time to wander around the city centre and soak in the local atmosphere. Dinner is included this evening, providing a perfect end to our day in Fujairah.
Day 6 - Fujairah - Dubai
Following breakfast, we'll journey along the coastline to Al Bidyah, home to the oldest mosque in the country. Constructed in the 15th century using adobe, this mosque stands at the foot of a fortress with a commanding view of the sea. Our journey continues with a visit to the charming city of Khor Fakkan, where you'll have free time to relax on the beach or take a dip in the warm waters of the Gulf. Facilities include changing rooms and showers, and you can savour a leisurely lunch at one of its delightful restaurants. We then pause at the historical ruins of an old Portuguese castle, enjoying a refreshing stroll by the artificial waterfall and marvelling at the grand amphitheatre that faces the sea. Our route leads us to the Emirate of Sharjah, celebrated as the "Cultural Capital of the Arab World" by UNESCO. Here, we'll admire the stunning Al Noor Mosque, renowned for its Ottoman-inspired design, as we walk around its exterior and capture photographs of the nearby Al Noor Island, accessed via a bridge.Our cultural exploration of Sharjah includes a visit to the Sharjah Fort, now a museum dedicated to the ruling family, and the Museum of Islamic Civilization, which offers remarkable insights into the Arab and Islamic world. Before concluding our visit, we experience the captivating "Rain Room" art installation, where you can walk through simulated rainfall without getting wet. We then depart for Dubai, anticipating arrival by approximately 18:30.
Day 7 - Dubai
