Finishing at Siem Reap and the spectacular Angkor Wat!Private Tours16Having time to relax in places. Sightseeing everywhere was at a reasonable pace and the guides were all very well informed. Their enthusiasm was infectious and they took great care of us. Loved Hoi An as we had time to spend with our daughter. The war remnants museum in Hanoi was emotional. The day going from Halong Bay was not well thought out. Three hour drive to Hanoi airport (short stop at workshop) then hours at the airport. Hotel at Ho Chi Min was very dark, making it difficult for my wife to access room and find things in room.

Signature Journeys16There were many favorite parts, but if I had to pick one it was the overnight boat cruise to Ha Long Bay. Accommodations were excellent. Activities were well planned out and a lot of fun. And the food was delicious. The train ride was an experience that I would not chose again. I think it is overnight train rides in general that I am not a fan of. There was nothing that could have been done better, our guide was excellent. I just don't sleep well on a train, personal preference only.

But Hoi an and Ho Chi Minh were a couple of favourites, all in all Vietnam was amazing!! Cambodia: Angkor Wat was by far one of the most breath taking places we have ever seen. Seim Reap as well! The 3am get up to catch the flight was a little hard. Also the long travel from Cambodian boarder to the accommodation 4 hours in a cramped mini bus with luggage piled all around us due to not fitting underneath.

Bottled water provided was good. Guides generally informative and helpful. Airport transfers good. Accommodation good. Tipping was optional but expected. 3.15am is too early to catch a bus to airport for a flight mid tour. Being quoted US$ in trip notes was confusing considering US $ not used in Vietnam . Guide in Bangkok was not fluent in English.
