Great tour & tour guide. Blanche was our tour guide in Croatia. She was fantastic always letting us know what was happening always telling us about the history of the region we were in at the time. Could not fault her she was brilliant. The tour itself was really good & went to some fantastic spots & was well planned out. The last hotel ‘The Valamar’ was a great hotel to finish the tour at. It was a great hotel to relax after the tour if you wanted to. ”  

Overall, the tour went well! I felt some changes were made and people received different details and options for the itinerary. We had issues with the rooming requests for two twin beds—confirmed by our personal travel agent—but not fulfilled by 4 of the hotels. The guide Clos offered additional lectures pre-dinner and elevated the participants knowledge base regarding the history of the region. ”

We had an amazing trip to the Devon and Cornwall districts. Our driver and guide Nic was the best. He told us so many stories and took us to interesting spots throughout the whole journey. I would thoroughly recommend this tour and driver. ”

Our Driver/Tour guide was very informative with telling history of area we were visiting, loved his humour and music selection. He went out of his way to ensure I was able to realise a dream, visit to Duart castle which was not on our itinerary. Our stay at B&B was lovely, clean, comfy and Hannah was so welcoming.”  

We really enjoyed the tour, met some lovely people, and our tour guide Mete was exceptional, very knowledgeable. The tour content was very interesting. Ephesus was our favorite.

We were sad to leave the tour and our new friends who were continuing on to Cappadocia and back to Istanbul.

The tour lost and gained people as we travelled which was interesting.

The local guides in Krakow and the Baltic countries were excellent especially at the end when there were over 30 in our group and we didn't have a " voice box".

The overall Tour guide was very busy as he had 4 different language groups to look after. We rarely saw him after so many more joined in Vilinius.

There were too many "add ons" for tours and meals which were often not value for money. I didn't do many extra tours for that reason.

We weren't given enough warning often for the timing of the day. Therefore sometimes we had lunch at 3pm. If we had known we could have bought a sandwich and eaten it on the bus.

The hotel in Warsaw was along way from the city centre or old town. Most other places the hotels were well situated and walking distance from restaurants or the city centre. ”  

Excellent tour - felt I really got to see the highlights of Iceland. Tour guide was good but at times difficult to understand because of his accent. However he was very helpful and knowledgeable.”  

The tours were excellent as was the region. Our guide Janis was perfect. My only suggestion is the the guides wear a headset ‘receivers for the guests. Some voices are not strong so a lot of information is lost . It also creates less noise when there are many tour groups around.

Our transfer driver from Vilnius to Amsterdam was very late, he suggested our plane came in very early? I think he didn’t check the arrival time or different time zones. The plane was on time according to the pilot and arrival information boards.”  

Our tour guide Esra was exceptional. She was organised, knowledgeable. Approachable , fun, patient and helpful. You could not ask for more. Our bus driver Ibrahim was prompt and drove safely.

A couple of the hotels were a little underwhelming. The one in Cannukale seems very old and the linen was thread bare. Just need to check what amenities they provide in the rooms. In Cappadocia we had one glass and one mug which made it difficult to have a drink. When asking for another one they said only one per room. It was a double room. The Kent was top class. Theses a minor adjustments but easily accommodated.

Overall it was an excellent tour.

Th food was fantastic but maybe some time to go and find a place in the town to eat and time to explore the townsites. Knowing the distances we have to travel to get places we know it’s not always practical.

The optional tours are too expensive. When you go as a group it should be cheaper than when you do it on your own.E.g. The optional tour from Riga to Jürmala costs 40 EUR each. We did it on our own by train what cost 4 EUR and we were as fast (or even faster) than by couch/bus! As far as I remember, there was also a museum included but that can't cost 36 EUR!E.g. We ate always on our own. This was also cheaper than as a group. I know from other tour members that they went on their own as 40 EUR each was just too much.The pick up at 1.15am didn't work and the reservation didn't arrive at the hotel! That was not a good start of an organized tour but for that mistake we got an optional tour of 40 EUR each for free. Thank you very much, we appreciated that compensation. Mistakes can happen ;-) ”  

This tour was from Poland through Estonia. It was disorganized since it wasn’t always clear when we were meeting or where. Or how we were supposed to get back to our hotel. There were a lot of added costs since everything in the afternoon was an added expense. I did like our guides but with different groups coming and going it was disorganized. The only included food was breakfast”

This is a really great way of getting around from island to Island and seeing a variety of different things without feeling rushed or on an itinerary. Lots of chilled swim stops and sun bathing and then cultural things later in the day and sight seeing. Our guide Daniella was so sweet and so good at her job too. It’s small and friendly and we made great friends on board too. The only criticism for me was sometimes you had to clarify things that got missed, and that our cabin was not the best located, right over the engines so incredibly noisy first thing when we set sail but all in all, we lived this trip and would do another! ”

Overall the tour was very good however the glacier walk/ice cave experience was not.

We were requested to provide notification of any limitations eg mobility, claustrophobia, fear of heights.There was nowhere on the form to give that information and it had to be provided verbally.This information was told to the guide on multiple occasions but he did not appear to register and did not act on the advice.The glacier walk/ice cave is unsuitable for people with fear of heights. They should have been advised accordingly when they disclosed their situations. Insufficient detail was provided about the nature of that tour so that better decisions could have been made. The Southcoast glacier walk guide tried to suggest that all would be fine if they continued and they would get better- that is not realistic in people with phobias.

Had the On the Go guide acted on the advice given / and had sufficient detail about the glacier walk been provided a much more appropriate option would have been for those clients to have remained in Vik to do other activities on their own (eg shopping, visit maritime museum and nearby black beach) rather than having been put in an extremely unpleasant situation. ”  

Tour was amazing and the guide Nicole was full of fun and knowledge. However it would be better if the tour organisers in Italy provided details of laundromats etc near the place of stay. The accommodation after the tour ended was not up to the one we were booked in when we started the tour. It was tiny and very congested. ”  

Joey was an excellent guide and we enjoyed the tour very much.

Our only criticism would be the bus. With a full load of people it was very cramped, especially when there were some oversized passengers.

Secondly, the sound system was poor. It was hard to hear the commentary at any time and impossible to hear anything at all in the back half of the bus.

This was a very good trip, with appropriate amounts of time to visit at the stops we made for the beautiful waterfalls, beaches, etc., and also for the comfort stops. Although some tourist may have thought a few of the overnight accommodations were marginal, I thought they were fine. I did not take this trip to see the lodgings/hotels.

Siggy was an exceptionally good guide, and extremely patient, especially given the non-stop questions, dialog and distractions from one young boy who sat directly behind him, the entire trip. Siggy also facilitated the guests getting to know one another better, which made this a very enjoyable and friendly tour.”  

This was our first trip with On The Go. Overall, we enjoyed the beautiful scenery but unfortunately were disappointed with the tour itself.

Pros: We felt confident with the driver and the transportation was comfortable. Group size was also a plus as it was only 4 of us! We enjoyed that the itinerary included some smaller towns/villages that you maybe wouldn't know about or typically visit.

Cons: Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed with the guide on this tour. It didn't feel like we had much of a "guide" with us at all. He did not come off as very personable, and never tried to get to know us at all. There were only 4 of us and he never asked for our names, or any introduction in the beginning whatsoever. Phone numbers/WhatsApp or any form of communication was never initiated by him so we did have not have any way to contact for safety or questions during our allotted free time at all. Us and the other two travelers took it upon ourselves. The long rides in between each destination were very quiet and dull, no effort to talk to us or point out much scenery of all the places we were passing through. We think it definitely would have been useful to use that time to talk AHEAD of when we would be arriving to each stop on what to expect, any suggestions or recommendations on activates there, restaurants, the landscape, bathrooms, really any information at all. We only had a short amount of time in each place, so it felt rushed and unorganized to waste time trying to figure out where we were or what there was to do. The biggest example of this was the day in Lauterbrunnen. The trip notes actually say "Ask your guide for advice on activities because there are so many options". Unfortunately, our guide had a family emergency that day and had to leave the trip once we arrived to Lauterbrunnen, so the driver stepped in and gave last minute information once we had arrived. That was the day we were looking forward to most, and because there are so many options and it is quite spread out, it ended up being a more stressful day trying to figure out where we should go or what activities we should do because we weren't given any guidance ahead of time.

Regarding the accommodations, the @ Home Locarno Hotel was the best option. Of the 3, the other two were quite underwhelming. The Hotel Des Patients hotel is Lausanne was a very odd choice. It is far away from the lake and town, and is just a weird environment for a holiday trip. No AC as well. The one in Interlaken was very much just OK as well. Interlaken as a whole we felt could have been skipped from the itinerary. Very crowded and touristy, and not much to see. Feel like there would be much better options to stay in for the night.

We are undecided on if we would use On The Go for a future trip. ”

Our tour guide was Conor W.. He was amazing! A three day driving tour was perfect to see the wild Atlantic Way and the beautiful northwest of Ireland. Conor was very knowledgeable about the history and the landscape and very professional and punctual. The vehicle was always clean and comfortable. We spent the perfect amount of time at each spot on our itinerary. The accommodations were fantastic. The food was great and the staff was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Conor W for driving tours of Ireland!”  

Tour was good but the Poland part needs to be timed better. We had to literally run to catch the train from Krakow to Poland. Some tours required that we had to find our own way back to the hotel which wasn't always appreciated. We had 3 different guides during this tour and different groups joining all the time so it was some times chaotic. Guides were good, But i feel they should all share their contact info with us as soon as they start the tour.

Positive about on the go staff - Very responsive to mails. Super customer support.

Negatives about on the go - Insane amount of feedback requests each time a mail is sent asking a question. so much so that i had to block the account and send multiple complaints. Also insane amount of payment reminders for balance payment before the due date. These reasons alone will make me think twice before booking again as it was really really annoying.”  

We didn't really have a guide and were on our own to figure a lot of the details out. Communication was sparse so we didn't know what dinner arrangements were at two locations, we didn't bring towels that were needed at another spot (even when we asked for someone to give us a run down of what was needed for that day-no one communicated with us). We didn't know cash only was accepted for the Istanbul boat ride and the Cappadocia balloon ride and the guide wasn't sure we could even get on a balloon ride without much earlier reservations. I told your office when booking months ago the balloon tour and boat were priorities and was told we had to wait until there and talk with the coordinator in Turkey. We were in the back of a van handing over hundreds of dollars in cash which totally tapped us and caused us to need additional money and more ATM fees.

Drivers were all there on time and got us where we needed to be-that was the most positive aspect of the trip.

Hotel in Cappadocia was in no way a 4-star place and no one spoke English so we had to use Google Translate to talk with them.

Hotels in Kusadasi and Pamukkle were excellent.

We needed more details on what to bring, how to pay, direct connection with the airlines (not a paper receipt), meals (esp. dinners), and earlier reservations for the boat and air balloon tours.”  

I thought the tour matched the tour notes well, I had a good idea what to expect as far as the pace of each day. I feel that the tour guide could have done better introducing himself and the tourists to each other on the first day, including sharing a way like “ what’s app” for emergency and other contact. There needed to be more information shared before each stop as far as excursion options and possible costs and time frames. There were a couple of excursions where we were not given sufficient time to complete the tour, and asked to pay for things like a private boat transportation on the spot versus knowing the other options. The Lauterbrunnen day was chaotic, it was hard to determine the best option for our day as all excursions were pretty spread out, but our tour guide had a family emergency that day, so understandable that he was forced to leave the tour.

I did not think that Interlaken was the best stop, just another shopping town, but the other lake towns like Locarno were beautiful. Overall, I would recommend the tour for people like me who prefer lakes and scenery and lovely hamlets to big cities and shopping. The driver did a good job, I felt very comfortable when he was driving on the difficult roads. ”  

The tour and guide were great but On the Go Tours never told me what kind of cabin we would have had for the price we paid, we were repeatedly told all cabins were the same, only to find out once on board that our cabins were lower deck. This was a very disappointing experience, especially considering the number of emails that were sent on our side to get our personal infomation.”

Our tour guide Alan is a good driver and he has a lot knowledge in Scottish history. We should have gone to Balmoral Castle it was only 8 m away where we had a break. ”

Tour guide did not have the skills or level of professionalism I am used to. Hotels would not be considered 4 star in USA. Belgrade hotel was old but renovated. Braşov hotel was too far from old town. Bucharest was in bad neighborhood and not great restaurants nearby. Veliko Tarnovo hotel had musty smell. Rugs were old and wall paper peeling. Zlatibor hotel had no a/c. Sarajevo room small than my master bath at home. Smallest hotel room.

Dubrovnik hotel was too far from old town. No restaurants nearby. Residential area.

The tours of Montenegro and Bosnia were not much. I have previously been to Montenegro and the local guide on that tour was better than this one. I suggest getting local guides. For Bosnia and Montenegro. The local guides in Bulgaria and Romania were great. ”

I really enjoyed the tour - Michael our guide was very friendly, kept us all informed and was flexible to suit everyone's requirements - we packed in a lot into the time with beautiful countryside, history and culture. He drove a lot of miles!!!!

We had a small number on our tour - 7 overall - which was perfect and allowed us to get to know each other

Great accommodation - clean and well appointed, with very good breakfasts.

My only reservation is that for the price which amounted to £280 per day I might have expected more things to be inclusive - we paid for all meals and entry fees

Another suggestion - would be good to give everyone more information about the places we visited - like the distillery - we were able to take advantage of the onsite tour guide at the monastery which was lucky- would be good to have restaurant recommendations, and places to see traditional music. The tour notes were good to a point but would have been good to have a little booklet with more information

Our tour was amazing. There were 15 travelers and our tour guide, Bruce M. He was fantastic. His stories and history about the area were so fun to listen to while on the road, and he even incorporated Scottish music throughout the tour that was woven into the experience. Isle of Skye is so beautiful and we feel we saw so much in our three days. The time was very well used. Our only feedback would be dining in Portree required reservations ahead of time, and we were not informed of this by On The Go. By the time we arrived there, it was too late to get any reservations. The walk-in dining options there are not the best! Otherwise, this was a perfect experience and we would do it all over again in a heartbeat.”  

We had a great trip. Our guide Martina was fabulous, very knowledgeable about all aspects of Iceland, she talked with a lot of heart with telling the history of Iceland. Our bus driver did a great job navigating the sometimes challenging roads and icy parking lots. One thing I would suggest is for all buses is to carry chain/ bolt cutters since there was an issue with the chains on the tires that got stuck and our driver Ziggy/ Siggy couldn't take them off and we had to sit on the side of the road for over an hour until someone could be contacted and bring a bolt/chain cutter to take care of the problem. It would be a minor expense to have on board all buses for safety precaution for future traveling. ”

Some of the days were very long and it would have been good to do a longer tour with a rest day or multiple night stay. On the second day of the tour the weather was predicted to be very bad, so with our consent the tour leader/driver (Hodei) included many of the day 2 activities in day 1. Lucky we did, as a section of the ring road was closed for about 24hrs. The company was able to organise super jeeps to get us around the volcano through the highlands and carry on the rest of the tour with another vehicle. The itinerary seemed a bit different to the online versions, but was very full, informative and enjoyable. There were plenty of hikes and the only activity we missed was the glacier hike as the road to it was closed. Hodei was a safe driver, full of stories of Iceland and always ready with a smile. He included some surprises that weren't on the itinerary, one of the highlights was a cafe with an all you can eat cake buffet! The standard of hotels was very good, better than expected. In some places the choices for dinner were limited, but were very tasty and generous servings. We found Iceland very expensive, so I understand why only breakfasts were included. Hodei always gave us the chance to buy ready made sandwiches at the petrol stations as an option to a sit down lunch. We felt we were given plenty of time at each site, with the exception of Siglofjordour, which was so beautiful. Some people were disappointed not to be visiting the Herring Museum.”  

First of all the tour guide, Amir, was terrific! He made the tour memorable. He was knowledgeable, kind, funny, solicitous of each passenger, and a good driver. He took great care of us.

I rated the transport a 4 because there wasn't a lot of leg room for my seat. I'm only 5'10 and my knees were right up against the seat in front of me. It would also be nice to have a cup holder so we could bring a coffee on board without spilling it.

The food in the bed and breakfasts was good, if that's what you mean by food.

I rated the accommodation a 4 due to one of the bed and breakfasts was up two flights of stairs, and it was a challenge getting my suitcase up there. But then I suppose I should have specified that this might be a problem. Otherwise both of the rooms were spacious and clean, and the owners were kind.”  

The tour and guide were both very good. The staff overall were pleasant, but I am not sure if they spoke English, as they did not interact with us. The food could have been more appetizing, although it was edible there was not a great variety. Tanya the tour guide, went out of her way to to make our stay as comfortable as possible. She is also very informed about the various islands that we visited.”  

Great tour, thor was wonderful and very knowledgeable. I would suggest ensuring the tour groups are small to make it easier for participants and driver. And can you maybe work out a few waterfalls and in something else? They were pretty but damn there was a lot.”

So many things went wrong, I thought I was going on On The Go tours which I have been on before but what I booked was not what I got. 12 people on the bus staying at 3 different accommodations, a tour guide who thought he was an actor in a play reciting history but didn’t know basic stuff and didn’t seem to care about the people paying for the tour, things missed on the itinerary, very disappointed ”

Couldn't fault the tour guide. He was exceptional! The 16 seater bus would NOT have been comfortable if full. We were on a tour with 9 people and it was about right for the size of the bus. One moderately tall man sat in the middle of the back seat the whole time to ensure adequate leg room. Lucky there was only one of him! Seats are also quite narrow.

The itinerary was adequate for such a short tour, but too much time was spent in areas like the Cliffs of Moher which were a dismal disappointment. This was the most over-rated "attraction" and half the time spent there would have been more than adequate.

Communication didn't exist and we had to get the tour guide to find out from them where our accommodation was. We were not advised and just assumed the tour guide would know. However, surprisingly everyone on the tour was staying at different hotels which involved time dropping off and picking up the next morning. Perhaps better co-ordination required?

The accommodation was generally good, although finding somewhere to eat in the busiest places was not easy. We walked a lot to find places not already booked out. Even heading out early didn't prove any easier to find somewhere.

Very happy with the lesser number of people on the tour and would recommend. Smaller vehicle allowed us to go to places not available to larger buses. ”

My one complaint was being advised to be at the meeting for 8.15am. Everyone else on the tour has been told either 8.45am or 9am.

This tour was simply amazing! We only had 4 people on our tour which gave some flexibility in what we did and time spent at different locations. Cristina, our guide, and Leonardo, our driver, were caring, informative and great fun. The hotels were clean and comfortable, the bus was spacious and great for the longer drives. The scenery was spectacular. An included welcome dinner on the first night could enhance the experience. ”  

The tour was quite a good mix of organised activities and time to do our own things. Bergen is beautiful. We enjoyed the boat trips in the fjords. We loved the village of Balestrand and its surrounds. The Flam train was great, though not quite as spectacular as we expected. The guided tour of Oslo was good but it was a pity we had to skip the City Hall due to long queues. Our train to Stockholm was delayed and painfully slow. We loved Stockholm.

Our guide, Mario, was helpful and well organised. He could have provided us with a bit more local information along the way. The local guides in Bergen and Oslo were great.”

A couple of the itinerised visits felt very rushed and we woud have liked more time at these places - specifically Sorrento we had 45 minutes and

Pompeii - ony 2 hours

After debriefing between ourselves - we would have liked at least 1 overnight in Sorrento rather than 2 in Salerno and 2 in Lecce and most definitely would have preferred a full day in Pompeii to explore at leisure ”

His knowledge of the country, history was unbelievable. He looked after every single one of us in the group. Extremely happy. We will come back to On The Go with our next adventure for sure.”

starting with lowlights and finishing with highlights. Marketed as a Lakes AND Gardens tour, there was no opportunity to visit gardens of historical renown during the tour. The lakes aspect was good at Como having time during a ferry ride to enjoy the surrounding estates and villas. Garda was a short boat trip around a promontory with good historic information and enjoyable, however most of the lake was seen driving in the bus. I was disappointed about the number of hours spent in the bus each day driving the same piece of Autostrada because of a deal with Best Western for accomodation in Milan and Bergamo. That directly impacted on any free time to explore the interesting villages and historic sites in several of the places visited. We had 7.30 starts to drive for three hours and then only time to get coffee or lunch before more travel.

Tour guide in Milan answered calls and spent time on the phone during our tour and was effectively offline and the same thing happened in Verona. I thought this was unprofessional as they were both in the middle of a job with microphones to provide information to us tourists.

Sabrina was lovely and did her best. Understandably she could not fill in the repeated hours over the same piece of Autostrada.

The best meal was served at the Winery on the last day. It was authentic Italian food prepared and served with pride.

The other best was the Bernina train which was just amazing.

I would only cautiously recommend this tour to people who dont mind sitting for hours travelling and dont know about good italian food.”  

He was Very knowledgeable- but spoke too fast.

They walked to fast very general age. It would be helpful if the company had headsets because it’s difficult to hear amongst other speakers and in a crowd. ”

Tour manager and local guides all good. Would have appreciated TV in the cabin. Easy for me to haul bags up the stairs but some participants could not have done that.”  

The tour guides were excellent.

The driver from Istanbul to Gallipoli had no English and checked his Facebook while driving, and we didn't know what was happening when we got picked up, we later found instructions on some of the other seats, but these need to be emailed to all clients so you know you are with people doing different tours and it will be sorted when you get to the office in Gallipoli in four and a half hours' time.”  

The sights visited were really good, but felt a bit rushed with a lot of them. Time given at a lot of sights was 30-45 mins. The thing that really upset me was zero communication regarding “hikes” at some of the sights. In the “on the go”brochures, the only mention of the word hike was relating to tours done in winter. I am a 63 year old woman who considers herself healthy but when I was told there were two 5 kilometre hikes, I literally nearly died. Had we have known before hand, perhaps we would have chosen another itinerary. So the first one I tried but was unsuccessful, so missed out on seeing some beautiful waterfalls. The second was to the ice cave. I forced myself to do this, so I didn’t miss out again, but was fearful the whole way. The other thing was, we were not at all prepared with the correct clothing for the ice cave. We had no boots or waterproof gear.

We feel very let down and it took away a lot of the enjoyment and created stress.

I believe On the Go Tours have not supplied the correct information regarding their tours. If another supplier is to be used, then that information should be passed on to customers. For this reason we will not travel with them again. ”

the tour in Turkey was quite good. I was disapointed that you excluded Hagia Sophia, one of the most visited places in Turkey, from the tour itinerary for no valid reason.When asked from our guide as to why Hagia Sophia was not included, she said the guided tuors are not allowed there. However, on the last day of our tour, I had the opportunity to vist Hagia Sophia on my own and I saw a number of guided tours in the mosque. On the second day, we finished the Istanbul tour around 1:00 pm and there were enough time for teh guide to take us to Sophia or at least allow interested individuals to visit there in the afternoon. I guess I was the only person in our touring party had the opprtunity to visit Hagia Sophia. ”  

Thoroughly enjoyed our Norway tour. The itinerary was a good cross section of scenery and towns. Our guide Marina was very good and driver Algus was very skilled.

We only had 28 people on the trip and that made the trip more enjoyable. We all got on very well

Our only complaint was about the hotel in Voss which was quite old”  

The tour was better than expected with a great group of people on board. We visited some wonderful locations and the scenery was beautiful. The food on board was good and plentiful and the cabin was spacious. The two 4 am starts with engines running were difficult to sleep through but plenty of time to relax and catch-up. Our captain and especially our guide could not have been more helpful and attentive. It would have been helpful to have known the name of the ship before we arrived to embark.”  

I thoroughly enjoyed the 6 day tour around Iceland,however I felt it would be better as a 5 day tour.

Our guide was fantastic and knowledgeable and fitted in extra things for us which I appreciated.

I felt the Whale Watching and horse farm visit could be removed as that is not my interest but I can see others may have been interested.

I really feel I got a good flavour and understanding of Iceland. The guide gave us lots of photo opportunities. You do have to be physically fit as there is alot of getting off and on the coach but you do have choice as to what you take part in.”  

What an awful trip. would never use you again. I travel extensively and you are the worst. Not 1 head set so you could hear, No bathroom, wifi, or plugs on the couches, not to mention no room and I am 5"7. When we wrote for help, nothing was done . We were told it is all our fault. Don't use them find an actual tour company so you aren't using an uninformed middleman.”  

The tour checked all the boxes, was thrilled with the amount we saw and things we did. Our tour guide was very informative and helpful.

The Markan Ship and the crew were outstanding. The places we visited and the swim stops were incredible. The room, ship and amenities were of a very high standard. Unfortunately the food was below standard and this was reflected daily. The fruit platter was old and unappealing, the menu was sub standard, inauthentic and at times inedible. The salad bar was in particular the lettuce was dry and lifeless. The chicken on the first day was dry, the crumbed pork was not fresh at all but a frozen Pattie and the salmon at the captains dinner was over cooked. The lamb had definitely been frozen and thawed as it was just tasteless. Most meals were served with lumpy mash potatoes or dry dry scollop potatoes. On one day I went to breakfast, the bacon was near empty and frequently they packed ip and took plates away when people were still eating. It felt rushed not relaxed. One day at 8.55 there was little bacon yet a full tray of fresh bacon was on a tray seen through the galley. Not acceptable to ask. I refilled the bread myself from the pantry. The table bread was delicious smothered in olive oil. The food was atrocious and very sub standard and I was grateful to dock and eat a restaurant’s to sample genuine Croatian cuisines. ”  

Esra is an amazing tour guide. She is very knowledgeable and knows her tour places inside and out. She was always smiling and very patient especially after the couple of incidents on the tour one being a broken leg the other being a very angry, disgruntled and annoying traveller.

Esra handles her self very professionally in dealing with these problem.

The tour was great only disappointed was the hotel on Cappadocia. It’s was terrible, rooms were dirty/dusty. There was mould on the bathrooms. Breakfast and dinner was ordinary. The 2 outdoor pools one was empty and green and other one the water was cloudy and murky. Obviously need chlorine. (I have a pool at home)

The staff that spoke English when approached with a complaint all o a sudden could no longer speak English. On the go Tours you really need to do better with tha hotel on Cappadocia. ”  

The guides, especially Patricia, Valencia and Sasha in Pompei were wonderful, and we highly recommend them. The tour itself was possibly a little busy and fast-packed, but mostly enjoyable nevertheless. HOWEVER, as a regular OTG client (this was my fifth OTG tour), I have two serious complaints: the extremely poor quality of some of the so-called ‘4-star’ hotels, including the breakfasts and a dinner ; and the fact that despite OTG’s assurances that the tour busses would be equipped with toilets, this was not the case. ”  

The trip was fantastic and tour guide Nacy was amazing, only suggestion would be to arrange pick up instead of having to arrange own way back to hotel”  

Tour most enjoyable. Good quality hotels and breakfast always superb. Transport quite ok until the last trips when coaches were somewhat crowded and several different languages speakers were lumped together. The guides were clearly not that happy about that. The Warsaw minibuses were too small to see much out of the window. We liked the guides, generally, although sometimes the use of the coach microphone could have been better. The commentary was very good quality in terms of information, but not always clear.

Would we use On the Go again. Possibly depending on the tour stops but we are aware that there is a lot of competition. I think that your subcontractors can do a little bit better in some areas.

Overall we’re pleased we went. Would liked to have had the Helsinki option available at the time of booking. We weren’t aware of that extension. ”

Keith was a wonderfull driver and a knowledgeable guide, especially regarding geology and history. He adapted our itinerary to fit time and weather. Would have liked to stay longer at Talisker distillery, but other tour members weren’t so keen on remaining. So it goes with any tour.

I would certainly recommend Rabbies and Keith and be tempted to take another tour should I return to Scotland.”

Hotel Raffaelo was the worst hotel ever, people in Italy are very rude, You shouldn't work with that hotel.

The Raffaelo hotel doesn't have a kettle or iron, not even to borrow. they gave us the wrong room, with 2 beds.

The Tour guide Patrizia, very rude, probably maners are lost in translation, her English is not good, not good enough for a tour guide.

The food on the tour wasn't great, was good mostly but not great

The tour guide in the Vatican smelled horrible and her english was terrible. Mara i think is her name.

There are optional tours, but we weren't able to pay with credit card, which seemed shady, same with the dinner at hotel raffaelo, they made us pay cash for drinks. ”

We had a fabulous time. The islands were beautiful, unless you took a trip like this one could never appreciate the beautiful scenery in such a short time frame, or even know where to start looking.

Josephine was a brilliant tour guide. She was friendly a d very knowledgeable, she really gave us a lot of local knowledge about each place and its history as well as the hidden places of interest. The ships crew was also brilliant, polite, helpful and good humoured. A great experience. It wasn't clear when I booked, that I was booking a cabin down below. I then had to upgrade on board, as I was unhappy initially. ”  

Kemal was a terrific tour guide. Informative but not constantly talking. He kept us safe and guided us through the various sites. ”  

Since there was only one guided tour included in the 8 day trip, I recommend providing options/recommendations of the optional excursions/tours upon booking (or when they become available). This will allow tourists to plan for the excursions/tours in advance of the trip.”  

I think this is quite good value for money for this tour. Our tour guide, Stefano, arranged optional extra tours (to pay in cash on the day), executed the tour itinerary very well and managed minor issues very professionally. Luigi, our coach driver, was professional and courteous. There was plenty of free time for exploring independently. Stefano gave clear instructions on meeting times and places, and went out of his way to provide maps, local restaurant recommendations, and how to navigate local public transport options (when returning from free time activities, if they weren't included in the tour). The hotels (and hotel breakfasts) were adequate - nothing fantastic, but good enough as a place to sleep. The stops at smaller places on the way (Assisi, Siena, Bologna, Padua) to Florence and Venice were really good - places you may not normally go to. Overall, a delightful Italian experience. Highly recommend. ”

George our bus driver was an absolute gentleman and great driver. ”  

We had two guides, one after the other, and although they had very different styles, we were very happy with them. The tour covered half of Ireland so we covered a lot of ground. It turned out we were on another providers tour and the others on the tour had received emails from them with useful information and advice. We didn’t receive any of that. Consequently we didn’t know about our accommodation ahead of time. Some of the places we stayed were quite good but some were very basic and one landlady was extremely unpleasant! Most of the other clients had selected their own accommodation, consequently it was a better standard. We were very happy with On the Go tours organisation of our trip, especially the small group size. ”  

Was an enjoyable way to travel to various locations along the cost. Boat was well maintained and comfortable, crew were friendly and helpful, meals were good.”  

The tour to Mull was excellent as was the guide Stefan. The highlights for me were:

1. My sea view room at the Mishnish in Tobermory. Small room but the view from the window was amazing.

2. Day 2 when we made the trip over to beautiful Iona and on to Staffa to see the puffins.

3. Stefan the driver/guide was exceptional. Very entertaining and informative. On the last day our van broke down at Inveraray with a diesel leak. Stefan was brilliant in arranging alternative transport (combo of getting a lift with another coach company and then a train). It did mean we missed Loch Lomond though & the last 4 hours of guide commentary. ”  

The tour was okay. The tour guide was nice but English hard to understand sometimes. The hotel option is very poor. The hotels are far away from city centers or where the site seeing places are. We had to take Uber, taxi, bus, or metro to be able to see anything because the poor location of the hotels. The hotels felt like 2 stars and not 4 stars. They are small, some without even coffee makers in the room, and some don't have tissue papers . One hotel doesn't even have cold air conditioning and we waited for repair man who never showed up. The panaramic tour of the city is ridiculous. Nobody wants to see the city from the bus and not being able to get off and go into places. A lot of admission tickets not included and most days we were left to ourselves by noon. We paid too much for the type of tour/hotels we received.”  

Tour guide (Janis) was fantastic - very professional, helpful and knowledgeable. We did not know that this was a combined English/German tour, so everything on the bus needed to be explained twice. There were multiple buses rather than a single bus for the whole trip, and there were three occasions where people joined or left the group, because of overlapping itineraries of tours being combined (this made it difficult to make social connections with everyone). The included and optional dinners were decent. Overall, a very enjoyable tour of a very interesting corner of the globe.”  

Nicole (tour guide) and Frank (bus driver) were both fantastic. Nicole was very informative and knowledgeable; she was always clear on instructions for meeting points etc. and kept the group together. Overall, the tour was just amazing, never having been to Europe previously I had no idea what to expect and was not disappointed by the places we went or the attractions we were taken too. If anything, I feel we may have seen a little too much & at times felt we could do with more time in one place to really 'soak up' the full experience of the place. The bus/ coach was clean, comfortable and the speaker was clear for when Nicole was required to use the microphone. The breakfast was a little disappointing especially in our hotel at Florence and the coffee was truly disgusting. Both accommodations - Nil Hotel & Antony Hotel were clean, comfortable & the locations of both were easy enough to find our own way 'home' although both require better coffee facilities in the room.”  

Overall we very much enjoyed the tour.

However, things we would note are that in booking we expected our free day to be the first full day after we arrived, but when the organiser contacted us we found out that the athens tour was that first day. Wasn’t a problem but could have been if we had arranged something else. Also we expected to go to meteora first then delphi but it was the other way round, again not really a problem but different to the itinerary we were sent.

We also think that the details should state that alot of walking is involved with many steps etc… again wasn't a problem for us but some on the tour struggled with it and it really should be made clear to anyone booking.

But overall we loved it and would do other tours with you if they suit our plans”

The problem with the tour was that it was too bare bones. Most things worth doing were optional tours and they were just a profit center for the tour companies. Greatly overpriced.
