This should be part of the base tour package, not an additional cost. Walking tour of Venice on 5th day. Mostly a standing tour, distance covered was 100 yards. Tour covered same ground walked evening before. Time would better spent inside Doge’s Palace rather than outside talking about it. Book new rooms at Hotel Andreotti. We also loved going to the little villages - like the walled village Orvieto, and Castiglione del Lago, Monteriggioni, good to spend some time there. We didn't really enjoy Genoa. Arrived at night and weather also not great. We didn't have much time there, but if had had more I would have liked to look at the museum boat on the harbour. Didn't enjoy walking the streets by the harbour, as a bit dark.

Worldwide Touring5We really enjoyed the small villages including Assisi and Montepulciano. A little more time at each of these would have been lovely, but we knew our tour was a 'taste' of Italy. Our tour guide, Stefano, was so knowledgeable and passionate about his homeland. Having to pay City Tax and then being expected to pay to go to the toilet!

The tour was good, the bus driver was great, felt safe the whole time. Hotels aprt from Florence were all good and the tour guide was helpful. Really disappointed with the hotel in Florence. It was very old, dated, dirty and was definately not 4 star. The food presented for the meal was not great and most were not eating it. The next day everyone was talking about the below par accomodation.

Worldwide Touring5Loved Venice, going by ferry to St Marks Square in the evening for dinner with the other members of the tour. It was such a beautiful evening with them, got to know them better, the ride back to the hotel was fantastic with the crew playing Titanic Did not like the Hotel Rafaello at all, the breakfast and dinner was below standard. The manager was not helpful at the hotel desk at all. Our aircon was not working, the phone kept ringing, and we had to go down at least thrice to get it working. The room was smelling of cigarette smoke too

Worldwide Touring5Gondola ride in Venice. The first day meeting time was so early at 7.15 am that it never happened. The tour leader came only after 8am!! and bus came after 8.30am. The problem with the time is that St Martin hotel breakfast only starts at 7am. Too much factory visits. Hotel in Florence is more like 3 stars.
