Day 1 - San Jose
Welcome to Costa Rica. Upon arrival at Juan Santamaría International Airport, our local representative will meet you and assist with your transfer to your hotel in San José. Take time to settle into your comfortable room and unwind as you prepare for the journey ahead. Overnight in San José.
Day 2 - El Castillo
After breakfast, check out of your hotel and depart for La Fortuna de San Carlos, home to the impressive Arenal Volcano. Once among the world’s most active volcanoes, Arenal still captivates with its striking peak and lush surroundings. Upon arrival, settle into your hotel and take time to appreciate the stunning natural beauty at your own pace. Overnight in Arenal.
Day 3 - Alajuela
Wake to spectacular views of Arenal and spend the day discovering La Fortuna at your own pace. Whether you prefer active pursuits or relaxation, there is something for everyone. We can take you hiking along the lava trails in Arenal Volcano National Park or visiting the impressive La Fortuna Waterfall. You might also enjoy walking across the hanging bridges through the rainforest canopy, or for a thrill, try whitewater rafting or zip-lining. Overnight in Arenal.
Day 4 - Monteverde
After breakfast, we travel to Monteverde, a renowned cloud forest celebrated for its rich biodiversity. This area is recognised as one of the world’s premier wildlife sanctuaries, offering a unique glimpse into an unspoiled natural environment. Upon arrival, you have a free afternoon to explore the charming town at your own pace or choose from a range of optional activities. Overnight in Monteverde.
Day 5 - Monteverde
After breakfast, enjoy a full day at your leisure in Monteverde. This area offers a unique blend of adventure and tranquillity. You might choose to zip-line through the forest canopy, stroll across the impressive hanging bridges, or join a night tour to observe the region’s nocturnal wildlife. For a cultural experience, consider visiting a local coffee farm or taking part in a hands-on culinary workshop to discover traditional Costa Rican flavours. Overnight in Monteverde.
Day 6 - Playa Herradura
After breakfast, we travel to the beautiful Punta Leona, a coastal retreat nestled between tropical rainforest and pristine white-sand beaches along the Pacific Ocean. You will have ample time to enjoy the beach, swim in the clear emerald waters, or simply relax by the pool. Overnight accommodation is at Punta Leona.
Day 7 - Playa Herradura
After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a full day at your leisure in Punta Leona. Take the opportunity to relax on the beach, swim in the Pacific’s clear waters, or simply unwind by the pool surrounded by tropical rainforest. Overnight in Punta Leona.
Day 8 - San Jose
Enjoy a final breakfast before checking out of your hotel. At the arranged time, we will transfer you to Juan Santamaría International Airport for your departure flight. Take with you lasting memories of Costa Rica’s stunning landscapes, diverse wildlife, and welcoming spirit.
