It was all absolutely gorgeous. Osborn Palace and gardens were absolutely beautiful. And the Needles were extraordinary. But there wasn’t a stop that didn’t have something interesting. Including the Jimi Hendrix statue. Jack the tour guide was great. Although as usual I got the room down the back of the Fig Tree Hotel. I paid an extra surcharge through you to stay at a hotel to have private facilities. But it turned out the guest house rooms had private facilities. Others on the tour who paid at the hotel got front rooms for half what I paid

I loved listening to our tour guide (Rob). He provided an educational experience as well as being entertaining. I did not think I wanted to see castles so much, but learning about their history brought their relevance into perspective. The bagpiper in the mountains was one of the highlights too.

He seemed to know the whole area very well. I was surprised when we saw the cable hut and the museum looked interesting. I saw Tolpuddle Martyrs not far off our route and worth a visit. When it rained and I wasn’t into shopping. The accom when we got there meant except the night Alan organised a meal for us, we didn’t eat. Had I known what to expect I would have chosen differently.
