Falls to Jo'burg - 12 days

Kicking off at the majestic Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe and travelling through to South Africa's world famous Kruger National Park, taking in the best of Botswana along the way.

Days 1 - 2: Victoria Falls
Saturday. Welcome to Victoria Falls, one of the most spectacular natural wonders of the world! Included transfer to accommodation in the centre of town. On day 1 there is a pre-departure meeting at 17:00hrs. Day 2 enjoy the day at leisure admiring the falls or participate in a myriad of exciting optional excursions & activities, bookable locally. Day 3: Chobe National Park
This morning we leave Victoria Falls and cross the border into Botswana, and head to Kasane on the banks of the Chobe River. Chobe is one of Botswana’s premier game parks, renowned for the large herds of elephant around the river. This afternoon enjoy a boat cruise along the river spotting the elephants and hippos. Days 4 - 7: Maun/Okavango Delta
Bidding farewell to Chobe we take the long drive to Maun, our base camp for the optional 3-day/2-night Okavango Delta Mokoro excursion. We drive north for two hours on day five to the Okavango Delta; a huge expanse of water, studded with exotic islands and renowned for its incredible variety of birdlife and animals. In mokoros (dugout canoes) replete with skilled polers, our crafts will glide through the waterways of the flora and fauna rich wetlands of the Delta, the largest inland waterway on earth. Experience the Delta wilderness on two game walks and enjoy free time on day 5 to partake in a number of optional activities, perhaps try your hand at poling your own Mokoro! We arrive back in Maun early afternoon on day 6.

If you choose not to take the Okavango Delta Excursion you can spend a relaxing three days in Maun, relax by the pool at the campsite, explore the town and its colourful markets. Overnight - Maun/Okavango Delta (B:4, L:4, D:4)
Days 8 - 9: Francistown & Polokwane
On the morning of day 8 we drive to Francistown, where we’ll arrive late afternoon. Francistown grew out of the gold mining boom in the late 1800s. Today it is a shopping mecca where we can stock up on supplies for the following days. Day 9 we cross into South Africa and cross the Limpopo Province to reach Polokwane, an ideal stop en route to Kruger National Park. Overnight - Francistown (1) Polokwane (1) (B:2, L:2, D:2)

Days 10 - 11: Kruger National Park
On day 10 we reach our campsite 8km outside Kruger NP. Spend the afternoon relaxing by the pool and take an optional night safari in Kruger National Park. Day 11 is spent exploring the world famous Kruger National Park, home to an incredible 146 species of mammal, 500 species of bird, 114 reptiles and33 amphibians! Enjoy a full day's game drive as we go in search of the Big Five! Overnight - Kruger National Park (B:2, L:2, D:2)
Day 12: Johannesburg
Wednesday. After breakfast we drive to Johannesburg. Our late afternoon arrival marks the end of our adventure. (B)
