Postcards
Here's what some of our past travellers have written in to us and said about their experiences on this trip.
Very enjoyable experience.
Sherif was a great guide and provides plenty of entertainment as well as a whole lot of Egyptian history and culture.
One of the main highlights for me was Dahab. Extremely friendly and relaxing atmosphere, plenty of great bars and restaurants with amazing seafood!
Tim Hunter, Feb 2010
Hi Kelly,
Just letting you know my King Ramses tour was absolutely fantastic - I loved the whole tour, it was very well organised and the tour leaders over there are brilliant. I only wish I got to stay longer in Dahab, I could have easily spent another week there. We spent way too much money being taken in by those adorable Bedouin girls - guess they can spot a soft target from a mile away!
Again, thanks so much for your help and for recommending the tour. I look forward to my next On-The-Go experience.
Cheers!
Sarah Freeman, Jan 2010
This was a great tour! Alll ran smoothly, the sights included were amazing and there were also lots of optional activities to choose from.
I have done some group touring before, and this was definitely the best one, and despite my prefference to be anindependent traveller, I would consider using on the go again.

Hi there,
How many different ways are there to use the word AmAzing?! Because we would use ALL of them to express our experience we had with On the Go Tours, during our tour to Egypt in December 2009!
It was a surprise birthday gift for my friend’s son who turned 16 while we were in Egypt! It has always been his dream to go to Egypt and we decided to surprise him.
We were met by Shady at Cairo Airport and he assisted us with all the nitty-gritty, getting us through the airport without any hassles!!! On the way to our hotel he gave us all the ins-and-outs about the tour! He was extremely friendly and when we met up with him again at the end of our tour, he recognized us and it was like meeting an old friend again!!! The group dynamics were great and with 7 other South Africans on the tour we stood tall amongst all the Aussies!
Sherif was our tour guide and he was AmAzing! He assisted us with everything we needed and was always available. He gave the best advise regarding shopping, prices, how to handle all the guys at the market and suggested some great places to eat! His knowledge of Egypt was incredible. He was also sooooooo funny! He had us in stitches most of the time! On my friend’s son’s birthday, Sharreef had arranged a cake for him when we were at the Karnak Temple and that really meant so much!!
We had a couple days in Dahab and had to say a sad goodbye to Sharreef. Big Mo looked after us in Dahab and was also great! He kept us relaxed and fed the entire time.
It was an awesome experience being with tradition Bedouin people at the Oasis and experiencing the desert to its fullest at night!
As a whole this entire trip was AweSome! AmAzing! And we will recommend this to anyone, in a heartbeat! Even the over-night traveling with the train and busses, although tiring, forms part of the whole experience. The organization of On the Go tours in the chaos, that is Egypt, is AmAzing!
Once again Thank You!

I just got back from my holiday in Egypt. I did the King Ramses tour. I had the most wonderful time. A holiday I will find very hard to beat. Everything was organised so well and ran really smoothly. I really would like to thank your whole team for making everything perfect. I would also like to say an extra special thank you to Waleed the guide. He pulled the group together so well that I'm sure we will be friends forever! His knowledge was unsurpassable and he had a very fun and unique way to part with it. He is a very special man. thanks again I look forward to the next installment xx
Holly Richardson, Nov 2009
Thank you, Jane the tour was really awesome and I would like to thank yourself and everyone with On the Go for the exceptional effort that was made on our part.
I did enjoy Egypt, and quite a few Egyptians, Sal who’s knowledge was inexhaustible, Caleed who introduced us to the Red Sea and the Bedouin, Abdul who stayed with me on the Mt Sinai climb (being last but I made the effort) and finally Mohamed who took me to El Alamein and Alex, not to mention all the others who were involved with the tour.
From our part, everything went without a hitch.
They all made the holiday most memorable.
Roland Liberg, Oct 2009
Hi guys
Once again on the go NEVER seems to disappoint. Thank you so much for the opportunity you have given me to go on the King Ramses and it really was an unforgettable experience!!
The tour guides in Egypt are amazing, they truly make the trips fun and informative and just amazing. They are willing to help with anything and believe me we had a few issues that Sheriff was more than willing and able to to help with. BIG mention also to Big Mo, who was our guide in Dahab, my what and amazing guy. I had the time of my life with him as our guide.
Thanks again!!! YOU GUYS ROCK!
Emmarentia Liebenberg, Sep 2009
Hi there,
I have just come back from the King Ramses Tour in Egypt, which I undertook in July and I just have to say what a fantastic time I had. This was the first holiday I had undertaken by myself and it was by far the best holiday so far. Your guides Ahmed, Saiid and Big Mo were fantastic and are an absolute credit to your organisation. I am definitely going to be booking more tours with On the Go and have already got 2 of my friends interested in the trip and they will be booking with you in the next couple of weeks. Once again...thank you very much for a holiday of a lifetime.
