Postcards
Here's what some of our past travellers have written in to us and said about their experiences on this trip.
King Ramses - 14 days
To On The Go Tours,
I just wanted to email and pass on my heartfelt thanks to your company and most importantly and especially, tour guide Haytham Youssry.
Simply put, the organisation, professionalism and willingness to go above and beyond to make my tour so great, was something I can't thank you all enough.
Haytham's knowledge, experience and passion for his country, it's history and "his favourite pharaoh, Ramses II", made the tours of the temples and sites truly exciting. I've had a passion since early childhood for history, mythology and ancient stories of the oldest civilisations. So to be able to have someone so qualified provide me with stories and information was exactly what I wanted.
He also turned out to become a great friend and a pleasure to spend my time on the tour with. He made everyone feel comfortable and connected with all of his participants, in their own little ways.
Thank you also to all the support staff in each of the cities, for their support and organisation along the way.
Once again, it was an amazing experience that I will never forget. I could hardly find a suggestion on improvements and certainly would recommend this tour (and especially if Haytham was the guide) to anyone interested.

Hello,
I just wanted to say a BIG thank you to the team at On The Go!!!
I have always wanted to visit Egypt and my experience surpassed all of my expectations!
I did the King Ramses tour in late August and it was amazing!
We were met at the Airport and helped through customs so it was easy for us, then taken to our Hotel by Alberto. Instantly we felt welcomed and relaxed as Alberto told us all about Cairo and what to expect on our trip, he is really a genuine, warm and knowledgeable man, anything we could of been concerned with he would be straight onto it for us. He is the perfect man to greet, inform and farewell your customers!
The sites we saw were breathtaking, the hotels were fantastic and anyone contemplating taking the feluccas I highly recommend it!! Each day was met with wonder and awe, there were great options such a markets or simply sun bathing for a few hours never feeling too rushed or that we hadn't seen enough. Alam was our tour guide, he has such a gift for his job! Ever the professional, who could explain everything to everyone in such an effortless manner. He was filled with information and insight, he was always there to answer any question or query. He had the perfect balance of knowledge and fun to make all of the information easy to learn and remember. He had this presence that made you feel safe and protected, knowing that if anything were to arise Alam would be straight on to it, which I am grateful for, being a woman I felt I could relax and enjoy the experience completely. He is also a wonderful belly-dancer which our group delighted in! He helped our group bond very quickly which was a fantastic feat as there were around 22 of us! If there is such a title of The Best Tour Guide Alam should get it hands down. He even offered to take us late night shopping on the first night of the Ramadan feast, instead of getting home earlier to enjoy it with his family!! I now truly believe that the staff on a tour group either can make your experience one to remember, or one that remains in your memory as a phenomenal trip of a lifetime so thank you Alam and Alberto!!! They are truly such assets to your company!
Because of my experience I will not even contemplate using another tour company!!!
Thank you again,
Emma Mates,
King Ramses - 14 days
I recently completed the King Ramses 14 day tour (14-27th July 2012) with tour guide Alam. I would like to say the tour was amazing, cramming that much history and information in to a short space of time then allowing to relax in Dahab was great. All the On the go staff I encountered were extremely helpful, willing to help, and had great local knowledge. Our Tour guide Alam was able to answer all of our questions on ancient Egypt with his vast Knowledge of the subject and provide a unique insight on what things were like in Ancient times. There was a moment that would like to congratulate Alam on his professionalism, and calmness, our overnight train was delayed from Aswan to Luxor for 8 hours and there were some passengers that weren't to happy about this and getting quite angry. Alam was able to control the situation and explain the different options available for people (All of this on his first day of Ramadan). I would recommend this tour to friends and family, and would easily do another tour especially with Alam as my tour guide.
