Day 1: Old Delhi

Namaste! Welcome to India and New Delhi the capital city of India. We will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel with the rest of the day yours to relax after your long flight.

Day 2: Old Delhi - Amritsar

Free morning at leisure. Later today we transfer you to the airport for your flight to Amritsar. Arrival transfer to your hotel.

Day 3: Amritsar

Home to the world famous Golden Temple and the seat of the Sikh religion, Amritsar is one of the Punjab’s principal cities. Built in 1803 and made of marble, copper and pure leaf gold, the temple is an amazing architectural feat. Morning visit to Golden temple and followed by a sightseeing tour of the city. This evening enjoy seeing with your guide the retreat ceremony on the India / Pakistan Border.

Day 4: Amritsar

Free day to explore Amritsar.

Day 5: Amritsar - Shimla

Today we travel by train to Ambala ASR NDL EXP - 0625 / 1040 AC chair Car. Arrival and we continue by car to Shimla - Arrive Shimla check in and relax after the long journey.

Days 6-7: Shimla

Today we enjoy a guided sightseeing tour, venturing into the narrow streets, which fall steeply away from the ridge giving way to colourful bazaars and fine views of the surrounding valley and snow-capped peaks. The afternoon and remaining days is yours to enjoy as you see fit.

Day 8: Shimla - Old Delhi

Transfer to Shimla railway station for the Toy train to Kalka. Train number 2560-Himalayan Queen departs at 1030 and arrives at 1605. Arrive Kalka and board the train to Delhi on your own. No assistance provided at Kalka station. Train number 2012-Kalka Shatabdi departs at 1700 and arrives at 2150. Air conditioned executive chair car. Arrive Delhi and you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 9: Old Delhi

Departing Delhi, we journey by express train 3 hours to Agra which was once India’s Mughal capital. Arriving, we visit Agra fort, which boasts some of India’s finest Mughal buildings behind it’s fortified walls. During its history it has been a palace, a fort and a prison! This evening enjoy a guided tour of the Taj Mahal then catch the express train back to Delhi.

Day 10: Old Delhi

Today we explore both Old and New Delhi - the order of New Delhi is a huge contrast to the unorganised chaos of the Old City. But both are just as appealing. Highlights we be the impressive Red Fort, Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque, Raj Ghat - the site of Gandhi’s cremation and more.

Day 11: Old Delhi

We say farewell with a transfer to the airport in time for your flight home.
