Day 1: Old Delhi

Welcome to India! Upon your arrival in New Delhi, we will be there to meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. The rest of the evening is free and at your leisure.

Day 2: Old Delhi

Today we explore both Old and New Delhi - the order of New Delhi is a stark contrast to the unorganised chaos of the Old City, both are equally appealing. Taking in the impressive Red Fort, Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque, Raj Ghat - the site of Gandhi’s cremation bazaars of Chandni Chowk and more. We visit the Qutab Minar, Humayun's Tomb and Lutyens building and more during our tour of New Delhi.

Day 3: Old Delhi - Agra

Departing Delhi, you journey to Agra, once India’s Mughal capital. You will have an afternoon visit to Agra fort, which boasts some of India’s finest Mughal buildings behind it’s fortified walls. The day will conclude with a visit to Taj Mahal at sunset.

Day 4: Agra - Ranthambhore NP

This morning we will transfer you to Bharatpur Railway Station for the train to Sawai Madhpur for Ranthambhore. Train number 2904-GT Mail departs at 1045 and arrives at 1305. Arrive Ranthambhore and we will be there to meet you and transfer you to your accomodation. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in the national park in a shared jeep.

Day 5: Ranthambhore NP

Ranthambhore National Park is one of the prime examples of Project Tiger’s conservation efforts in Rajasthan. Sprawling across an area of some 1334 sq. kms, the park boasts an impressive 10th century fort. In addition to the Bengal tiger, Ranthambhore is home to wild boar, nilgai, sambar deer and a variety of birds. Tiger spottings are more common in the morning or late afternoon. Enjoy a morning and afternoon game drive in the Park in a shared Jeep or Canter.

Day 6: Ranthambhore NP - Jaipur

Enjoy a Morning Game Drive in a Shared jeep or Canter. Later we drive to Jaipur. Arrive Jaipur & we will transfer you to your hotel for the night. Jaipur is famous for the unusual rose-colored sandstone architecture which is the reason it is known as, the Pink City.

Day 7: Jaipur

This morning we visit the delicate pink, magnificent fort-palace of Amber - a wonderful example of Rajput architecture just north of Jaipur. Subject to Government regulations, we will arrive in style riding on an elephant! In the afternoon you will enjoy a tour of the city. Highlights include the City Palace, which boasts an interesting museum of regal attire and Jantar Mantar, an ancient astronomical observatory.

Day 8: Jaipur - Rohet

Today we drive you from Jaipur to Rohetgarh on the ouskirts of Jodhpur. Rohet Garh is the fortified desert home of the descendants of the 16th century Rathore. Rohet is an evergreen oasis, has linked its blue-green lakeside environs to a perennial stream, which irrigates the desert lands of Jodhpur. A small but quaint village, Rohet is home to several artisans and visitors here can also visit Bishnoi settlements with their scrubbed homes and flamboyantly dressed and bejeweled women.

Day 9: Rohet

Today we will enjoy a half day sightseeing tour of Jodhpur. In the old city you will find a tangle of streets, alley ways and bazaars. Standing at the edge of the Thar Desert, the city is dominated by its massive fort, which sits atop a sheer rocky ridge right in the middle of the town. Meherangarh Fort, still run by the Maharaja of Jodhpur, is an impressive sight.

Day 10: Rohet - Udaipur

This morning we will drive you to Udaipur. Arrive Udaipur and we will be there to meet you and transfer you to your hotel.

Day 11: Udaipur

This morning enjoy touring the imposing City Palace, a vision in soft yellow stone on the northeast promontory with breathtaking views of the lake. The City Palace is the largest palace complex in Rajasthan. You will also have some free time to explore the palace or perhaps shop for colourful Rajasthani arts and crafts before your tranquil boat ride on Lake Pichola in the evening.

Day 12: Udaipur - Varanasi

This morning we transfer you to Udaipur airport to catch the 0740 flight to Delhi, arriving 09.45 to connect with the 1305 flight to Varanasi. Upon arrival at 14.15 we'll meet and transfer you to your hotel. This evening enjoy a visit to the Ganges by rickshaw to see an aarti (religious) ceremony. Today you have a car and driver at your disposal. This is a free day for you to spend at leisure.

Day 13: Varanasi

This morning, we enjoy a sunrise boat ride on the holy Ganges where we will view the ancient religious tradition of ritual cleansing that takes place on the many riverbank ghats (riverside steps). Later, we embark on a tour of the city. Highlights include the many temples,bazaars and ghats.

Day 14: Varanasi - Darjeeling

Enjoy the morning at your leisure. Later in the afternoon we will take you on a guided sightseeing tour to visit the famous Buddhist holy sight of Sarnath. Sarnath is located 10 Kms from Varanasi where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon to the five holy men; preaching the middleway to final 'NIRVANA’. We then proceed to the train station for the overnight train to New Jalpaiguri. Train number 2424-DBRT Rajdhani departing at 2300 and arriving at 1055 the next day.

Day 15: Darjeeling

Upon arrival into New Jalpaiguri at 1055 we will meet and drive you to Darjeeling where we will help you check into your hotel.

Day 16: Darjeeling

This morning we take a short ride in a toy train up to the Ghoom monastery and later embark upon a sightseeing tour of the city.

Day 17: Darjeeling - Kolkata

This morning we will drive to Bagdogra airport to catch the 13.55 flight to Kolkata. Upon arrival at 14.55 we will meet and transfer you to your own arrangements.

Day 18: Kolkata

Kolkata is an amazing example of East meets West. Enjoy a morning sightseeing tour which includes a visit to the Victoria Memorial. Opened by the Prince of Wales in 1921, this imposing vision in marble often called the “Taj” of the British Raj overlooks the grassy Maidan, the city’s green belt. Car is at you disposal to visit the tollygunge club for drinks or dinner on direct payment.

Day 19: Kolkata

Waking up to your last day in this Cultural Capitol of India we will transfer you to the airport for your departing flight.
