Namaste! Welcome to India and New Delhi the capital city of India. We will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel with the rest of the day yours to relax after your long flight.
Early this morning you will be transferred to the train station for your train bound for Haridwar, you will be in the executive air conditioned chair car. On arrival you will be transferred to your resort in Rishikesh. Known as the Yoga Capial of the World, Rishikesh is set on the banks of the Ganges and surrounded by hills, as such by its nature it is a perfect place to relax.
Today you will enjoy a city tour of both Rishikesh and Haridwar, which is one the most sacred cities in Hinduism. In Rishikesh there are many temples set on the banks of the holy Ganges.
This morning you will be transferred to the train station for your train to Delhi. On arrival you will drive about four hours to Agra, once India’s Mughal capital. You have this afternoon free to explore.
Early this morning we head out to view the magnificent Taj Mahal at sunrise. Enjoy your own time to explore and a guided tour of this once powerful Moghul emperor’s monument to love. Later today we visit Agra fort built under the Mughal Emperor Akbar in 1565 that contains numerous palaces and a white marble mosque and the Baby Taj.
This morning we will take a drive out to the ghostly fortifed city of Fatehpur Sikri, abandonded only 8 years after its construction due to droughts in the area continiuing on you will arrive in to Jaipur 'The Pink City'. In the afternoon enjoy some free time to relax.
Look out for the snake charmers that dot our route, as we travel to the 16th century Amber Fort. An exotic elephant ride (subject to availability) transports us to the lofty fort, where you will enjoy a tour of this Rajput extravaganza. Later in the afternoon you tour the City Palace, which boasts an interesting museum of regal attire and Jantar Mantar, an ancient astronomical observatory.
An interesting 7 hour drive through increasingly varied scenery takes us to Jodhpur, a town at the edge of the mighty Thar Desert. Dominated by Meherangarh Fort which sits majestically atop a hill, Jodhpur is known as the Blue City. This is because of the coloured houses in the old town, painted indigo.
Today we will enjoy a full day touring in this colourful Rajasthani city, taking in the mighty fort and bazaars of the old city which are gathered around the city’s tall clock tower.
This morning you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Mumbai. We will be there to meet you and then transfer you to your hotel. You have the rest of the day free.
Today you will enjoy a sightseeing tour of one of the most highly populated cities in the world, accommodating approximately 18 million people! Highlights include the Prince of Wales Museum, Gateway of India and Marine drive.
This morning after breakfast we take the cruise to visit Elephanta caves - Mumbai's premier tourist attraction. The rock-cut temples on peaceful Elephanta Island are thought to have been carved between 450 and 750 AD. The main cave contains large sculpted panels, including an astonishing 18-foot depiction of Shiva.
Today you will drive to Shirdi which will take about 6 hours. You will have the car and driver at your disposal this afternoon.
Early this morning will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Goa where the palm-fringed shores await. A one time Portuguese colony, Goa is truly a trpical paradise. Leave the world behind as you watch the sun set over the Arabian sea, sample fresh food and seafood, swim in Goa's warm waters or simply soak up the sun!
Day at leisure. At sunset you will enjoy an evening boat cruise on the Mandovi River. A beautiful way to spend your last evening in this tropical paradise.
You have this morning free before your flight to Delhi. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
Today we explore both Old and New Delhi - the order of New Delhi is a huge contrast to the unorganised chaos of the Old City. But both are just as appealing. Highlights we be the impressive Red Fort, Jama Masjid - India’s oldest and largest mosque, Raj Ghat - the site of Gandhi’s cremation and more.
Today, full of memories, you will be transferred to the airport for your departing flight.
