Day 3: Winelands
Time to explore the winelands region and try the superb range of Cape wines. There is also time this afternoon to gain insight to the local South African life, on a township tour.

Day 5: Garden route
Today we start out on the famous Garden Route, which is sandwiched in between the Outeniqua and Tsitsikamma mountains and the Indian ocean. A stunning coastline, with cliffs, sandy white beaches, lagoons and dolphin and whale spotting (if you are really lucky) opportunites along the way, it’s a beautiful drive. We also have a stop en-route in Swellendam, South Africa’s third oldest town.

Day 6: Oudtshoorn
A trip out to the capital of ostrich farming - Oudtshoorn, which owes much of its origin to the ostriches that roamed naturally in the area. During the Art Nouveau period, ostrich feathers were highly sought after as an embellishment to clothes, accessories and even unique sandstone ‘feather palaces’ were built until theFirst World War brought an end to this era. We also head out to the limestone foothills of the Swartberg mountains, to the Cango Caves, with Bushmen paintings and amazing stalactites and stalagmites.

Day 7: Tsitsikamma
Time to travel on to Tsitsikamma National Park, called ‘the place of sparkling water’, a prime spot to view dolphins and whales, Cape Clawless Otters, African Black Oystercatcher and Blue Duiker. Continuing on, we head to Plettenberg Bay, the jewel of the Garden Route.

Day 8: George & Tshwane
Travelling on to George, we take a city tour of Tshwane - the administrative capital of South Africa.

Day 9: Mpumalanga
Travelling through Mpumalanga, the region where scientists have found traces of ‘Stromatolites’, the remnants of bluegreen algae formed 3 500million years ago and an area that holds hundreds of examples of San art, as well as early pottery fragments and sculptural artifacts of the Nguni, we head on through the Limpopo Province.

Day 10: Kruger National Park
Today we have a day at famous Kruger National Park, enjoying the abundance of game that exists in this superb National Park.

Day 11: Panorama route
A scenic drive today as we head along the Panorama route, taking in Blyde River Canyon and the striking rock formations.
