Days 1 - 9: Tanzania Highlights Welcome to Nairobi! We’ll be there to collect you at Nairobi Airport. Your first night will be spent at our pre-expedition hotel in the centre of town. Journeying south via Namanga, we cross the border and head into neighbouring Tanzania. Home to some of Africa’s finest game reserves, we camp at the attractive safari frontier town of Arusha. The town is perfectly placed for optional activities such as a visit to two of Tanzania’s best game reserves - the Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
If you opt for the 3 day excursion (there is also a 1-day excursion visiting just Ngorongoro), with guides, the savannah plains of the Serengeti and the stunning Ngorongoro Crater National Park are explored in smaller all-terrain vehicles in the search for game. |

Leaving Arusha,we head towards the warm Indian Ocean coast. Travelling through the town of Moshi we cross the southern slopes of the highest mountain in Africa, Kilimanjaro. There is also an opportunity to view the snowy summit, weather dependant. Continuing south we pass the Usambara Mountains where we encounter vast sisal plantations en route to Dar es Salaam. A ferry from Dar takes us to the spice island of Zanzibar, where we’ll spend three nights on this exotic, tropical paradise. Please note that acccommodation and meals are not included on the island of Zanzibar.

Days 10 - 17: Lake Malawi Leaving Zanzibar, we travel via Dar es Salaam and transit through Milkumi National Park, where it’s possible to view an array of wildlife impervious to humans and traffic, from the road, to Iringa where we camp at the Old Farmhouse, a beautiful and rustic campsite. Dominated by its huge lake occupying nearly 20% of it’s landmass, Malawi offers us pleasant respite from the heat. We cross the border post at Songwe and head to Chitimba Beach on the shores of the lake.
Days 18 - 22: Victoria falls Crossing into land-locked Zambia, we stay at a pleasant campsite near the border, then drive to the capital, Lusaka, for one night. Continuing to Victoria Falls , we enjoy our last few days in the adrenaline playground of Africa. 1700 metres wide and around 100 metres high, the Victoria Falls constitutes one of the most spectacular natural wonders of the world and has every adventure activity on offer, from bungee jumping, white water rafting, and every type of flight over the falls! Day 21 is spent at your leisure giving you time to enjoy the many activities available. Day 22 marks the end of our expedition.
***PLEASE NOTE: Due to the current situation in Zimbabwe, we are not running the free Hwange NP Safari and tours will start/finish in Livingstone, Zambia, rather than Victoria Falls. If you fly into/out of Victoria Falls airport, we can arrange a transfer for you directly over the border. Please call for further details. No touring will take place in Zimbabwe until further notice.***
