Climb the Great Wall, enter the Forbidden City, inspect a grotto, challenge the Warriors at Xi’an and cruise the River Li at scenic Yangshuo. We top off your Eastern feast with a choice of sparkling Shanghai or dazzling Hong Kong....
Sleep like an emperor or empress! When it comes to places to stay, China offers a surprising array of modern hotels. We take into account a range of criteria when selecting our group tour accommodation. Having inspected what is available, we offer a carefully selected range of 3 - 4 star hotels. The emphasis is on accommodating you in well-managed centrally located properties that factor in comfort, cleanliness and a modest range of guest facilities. All guest rooms, some of which are pleasingly larger in China than their western counterparts, offer an en suite bathroom, a TV and sometimes a ‘fridge. Most of the hotels we use offer a range of guest facilities such as a restaurant or coffee shop and sometimes additional facilities such as a bar, shops, currency exchange and on occasion health and beauty services or pool.
In Beijing we stay at the 4 star Rainbow Hotel which is located on Xi Jing Road in Xuanwu District, close to the Heaven Temple and with easy access to the cities main sites including Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the National Museum which are less than 3km away (a 5-10 minute drive).
Whilst in Shanghai we stay at the new 4 Star Paradise hotel, located on Changyang road in the Yangpu district. The hotel boasts excellent facilities, has shops and restaurants within walking distance and good transport links to the famous Bund, 9km away.
