Night at the Museums - St Petersburg, Moscow

Night at the Museum (aka Long Night of Museums) began in Berlin in 1997, in an aim to attract a larger and also younger audience to its museums and cultural institutions. Over 120 cities in Europe, including St Petersburg and Moscow, have now jumped onboard, showcasing their unique museums, galleries and heritage sites.

The city of the tsars becomes a hive of late night activity as people flock to see some of St Petersburg's finest cultural offerings and take advantage of the wonderful Russian ‘White Nights’ when the sun barely sets! There are museums, galleries and exhibitions to suit all interests in Moscow and St Petersburg; from fine arts and sculptures to warfare, history, politics and even Soviet polar exploration! You can take in the incredible twilight views over the city from the dome of St Isaac’s Cathedral and even enjoy a late night visit to the city zoo.
