How far in advance should I book my holiday?

High season is during the months of September through May when the temperatures are cooler and therefore ideal for sightseeing, so if you are wanting to travel during these months or other peak times such as Christmas, Easter, Bank and School holidays it is best to book early. This should also ensure that you don't pay over the odds for your flights. To book please complete our online booking form or contact our reservations team.

Are your India tours suitable for single travellers?

Yes! We take lots of single travellers to India, and the great thing about our trips its that you are in a group so you will always have plenty of company, and the shared experience is a great way to form some lasting friendships.

If you’re travelling alone on a group tour and would like to share a room with a fellow traveller of the same sex, On The Go can try to arrange this for you, subject to there being another solo traveller already booked on the tour you are wishing to join.

Alternatively, for a modest supplement you can choose to book a sole occupancy room and enjoy a private room throughout your holiday.

How many people are likely to be on my trip?

Typical group size is between 12 to 20 persons aged between 20 - 45 years

I don’t want to travel in a group. Can you make a private itinerary?

Yes, we offer a selection of tailor-made itineraries to all destinations. Simply fill in our Holiday Wish List and a member of our tailor-made team will contact you with a few suggested itineraries. We know India inside out and will create a personal itinerary for you just the way you want it.

Alternatively, we can arrange our group tours on a private basis for a small supplement. These are based upon the exact itineraries and start dates as our group tours and based upon 2 people travelling. The Private Tour Supplement cost and further details can be found on the tour pricing pages.

Do you accept children on your tours?

On our group tours we welcome children aged 16 years and older, accompanied by a parent/guardian if under the age of 18. We also have a small selection of 'Family Friendly Departures' on our Passage To India, Taj Express, Taj and Raj, Golden Triangle & Goa, Shere Khan and Delhi to Colombo group tours, which accommodate children and teens aged 12 and over, just look for the family icon in the dates box. On tailor made holidays there is no minimum age for children. If you are travelling as a family we will also try and arrange adjoinng rooms for your convenience.

Are airport transfers included?

Yes, if you are arriving on the day your tour commences and departing on the day your tours ends. Additionally is you book any pre or post tour accommodation or bolt-on’s with On The Go, we include airport arrival and departure transfers from the appropriate airport in the relevant city.
