Design Executive - Product and Marketing
We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic designer/art worker with creative writing skills to join our team Product and Marketing teams. Working closely with the Marketing and Product teams you will be responsible for creative design elements for all printed material including brochures and online media, as well as writing copy for brochures, web and flyers.
Based at our Head Office in West Kensington, London, this is an excellent opportunity for a designer with skills in travel product management. The role offers the ability to write and design print and online media and help chart the path of the company's brand strategy.
This role will be a permanent full time position ideally commencing January 2012.
Key Responsibilities: Creative & Marketing
- Responsible for designing all traditional advertising artwork to print ready stage
- Responsible for all digital creative’s such as advertisements, EPKs, leaderboards, banners, skyscrapers and MPUs photoshop skills required)
- Design all marketing support material for consumer and trade flyers, exhibition literature and sponsorship events
- Show creativity, innovation and understanding of company’s brand strategy
- Posses flexibility, accuracy, efficiency and be detail-oriented
- Demonstrate an organised and systematic approach to the job.
Product
- Support to Product Manager in all areas of product management
- Provide written content such as tour itineraries, destination information / guides
- for use in printed and online media
- Editing and updating the website with text and images
- Proof reading
- Uploading of all printed material/ design and on-line media to external parties such as printers website, advertising agencies, online marketing providers
- Provide technical support for all printed design to be uploaded to printers website
Experience
- Experience in the design of printed and online materials
- Experience with online design, as an example, creating websites, ad campaigns, brand campaigns, advertisements and online marketing.
- Excellent creative writing, editing and re-drafting skills with the ability to research and compose original, accurate and interesting destination information.
- Experience in the travel industry in a product capacity is ideal but not essential
- Extensive travel experience and exposure to different cultures is also ideal
- Degree qualification desirable.
Technical
- Full working knowledge of the main Adobe CS5 suite of applications running on Mac OSX, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat.
- Know-how and proficiency in Flash and full understanding of animation programmes
- Powerpoint presentation, Word and Excel skills.
General
- Attention to detail is essential as is self motivation and common sense.
- Ability to multi-task effectively.
- Effective and efficient time management skills.
- ‘Can-do’ problem solving approach.
- Team worker with strong inter-personal skills.
- Flexible and pro-active.
- Ability to work unsocial hours in periods of high demand.
Duties will include
With a duel role of Marketing Design and Product, it is perceived the ideal candidate will spend: 2 days per week specifically on designing marketing materials such as advertisements, posters, banners, flyers and online media and 3 days per week on copywriting and art working of the company brochures.
- The production of power point presentations, advertisements, brochures cover design, posters, banners and flyers.
- Web based design incl. banners, flash media.
- Ensuring all print and online media are brand consistent.
- Creating design templates for brand consistency for use in other areas of the business.
- Uploading of images and Image placement in brochure and web.
- Writing, editing, copywriting and artworking product documentation; such as itineraries, destination information and Go Guides.
- Editing and updating the website .
