On The Go Tours strongly believes travel should be a rewarding experience for you, as well as for the local people we encounter en route. We strive to support the children in the countries we visit and a few extra Rupees, Yuan or Dollars all adds up. In support of local causes in India and China, we provide all our passengers with an envelope to place inside all their unwanted local currency. On The Go Tours will then put this money to work by purchasing clothes, educational supplies and other desperately needed items for underprivileged children.
In India we support local primary schools in Abhaneri and Sargoth. We put the money we collect to work by purchasing educational supplies and equipment for the benefit of the local village schools.
There are no wasted rupees in India and we donate teaching resources, food, clothing and most recently some new fans for the children.
Meanwhile in China we support the Bu Yang village pre-school in the Shandong Province. The centre’s facilities are limited to say the least, whilst endeavouring to offer a basic education to more than 200 3-6 year olds from the surrounding villages. On our Mandarin Sunrise 15-day tour passengers get to visit the school and experience village life first-hand. All donations go towards purchasing teaching aids, educational supplies and other desperately needed items for the centre.
