Day 1: Lima Welcome to Peru and the start of your holiday. Arrive at any time today and we will transfer you to your hotel.. Overnight - Lima.
Days 2 - 3: Cuzco Early morning flight to Cuzco and transfer to your hotel. The next 2 days are free to accLimatise and explore the heart of the once mighty Inca Empire. Whether it’s museums, markets or ruins which capture your interest, this beautiful colonial town is more than just a base for the Inca Trail. Overnight (2) - Cuzco.
Day 4: Ollantaytambo The Inca’s also settled the Rio Urubamba Valley which surrounds Cuzco and used its fertile lands as a primary food source. Today the remnants of this settlement still remain and we take the time to view not only Pisac but also the village of Ollantaytambo – dominated by a towering Inca Fortress and our base for tonight. Days 5 - 7: Inca Trail
Arriving at km82 we begin this challenging 42km walk. Your guide will also allow ample time to explain and explore the several ruins which line the trail. As Day 2 includes the highest point of the trail, it is physically, the most demanding. However, on reaching 4200m you will realise an amazing sense of achievement, while also witnessing some spectacular views. Camping the final night close to our destination, we explore the Winay Wayna ruins – a terraced hillside overlooking the valley below and a fantastic entrée to the ruins of Machu Picchu. Day 8: Machu Picchu
Waking early, we complete the final part of the trek prior to dawn. Climbing the steps to the Sun Gate, we all hope for a sunny and clear day ahead. After we have had a guided tour the site, there is ample time to independently explore, before catching the train back to Cuzco this evening. Overnight - Cuzco.
Day 9: Cuzco
One last day in Cuzco - today is free to enjoy as you please.

Day 10: Puno
Today we spend most of the day travelling through the Altiplano to Puno. A compact bustling town, Puno’s streets thrive and its markets are filled with women donning the traditional costume of bowler hats and many layered skirts. Overnight Puno.

Days 11 - 12: Lake Titicaca and Taquile Island
Enroute to Amanatani Island we not only visit the famous ‘floating islands’ and the Uros People whose lives are interwoven with the native Totora reed, but also travel via Taquile Island. At Amantani we spend the night in a homestay and have the chance to experience the traditional lifestyle of these basket weaving people. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and overnight (1) - Amantani Island, overnight (1) - Puno.
Days 13 - 14: La Paz
Hugging the spectacular coastline of Lake Titicaca, we reach La Paz, the world’s highest capital city, on the afternoon of day 13. Clinging to the sides of a canyon, this sprawling city is one of extreme contrasts, from traditional woman selling mystery potions in steaming pots, to modern skyscrapers. We spend most of day 14 exploring Tiahuanaco – Bolivia’s most significant archaeological site and inca ruin. Overnight (2) - La Paz.
Day 15: La Paz
Depart at any time today.
