Taking a hot air balloon in Cappadocia

Frequently Asked Questions - Turkey

I don't want to travel in a group, can I make a private itinerary?

Yes, we offer a selection of tailor-made itineraries to all destinations. Simply fill in our Holiday Wish List and a member of our tailor-made team will contact you with a few suggested itineraries. We know India inside out and will create a personal itinerary for you just the way you want it. Alternatively, we can arrange our group tours on a private basis for a small supplement. These are based upon the exact itineraries and start dates as our group tours and based upon 2 people travelling. The Private Tour Supplement cost and further details can be found on the tour pricing pages.

Are arrival and departure transfers included?

If arriving on DAY ONE of our group tours or short stays, into either Istanbul's Ataturk International Airport or Sabiha Gokcen Airport, we will provide you with a complimentary arrival transfer to your hotel.

If arriving prior to 09.00hrs on day one (essentially on a flight that arrives in the early hours of the morning) a complimentary transfer will still be offered although it is prudent to consider pre-purchasing an additional nights accommodation to ensure you have a room to retire to as soon as you arrive. Standard check in time is 14.00hrs.

A hotel to airport departure transfer is offered on many of our tours, please check the 'What's Included' section of your tour Go Guide for further information.

Are your Turkey tours suitable for single travellers?

We offer a no compulsory single supplement on all our group tours that start and conclude in Turkey. this means that if you are travelling alone and would like to share a room with a fellow traveller of the same sex, we can arrange this for you. However if you would like a room to yourself whilst on holiday, a single supplement option is available.

Please note that on our short stays, bolt ons, tours that travel beyond Turkey and for all pre and/or post tour accommodation we are unable to offer a room mate match up service and solo travellers will need to book a single room on these occasions.

How many travellers will be on my tour

Typically between 14 - 22 travellers, sometimes less and sometimes more. Some of our tours run together so in the beginning your tour group might be larger but after day 7 it may become smaller in size.

What type of people will be on my tour?

A typical group will have international mix of travellers. Our passengers come from all walks of life and from all over the English speaking world. Our group tours suit the spirited traveller, so you're likely to have plenty in common with other members of the group before you even meet. We attract many solo travellers, some couples and from time to time and groups of friends. We do not have any age restrictions on our tours, though most of our travellers are aged mid twenties upwards. We also have special group tours designed exclusively for families.

Can children travel on your Turkey tours?

On our group tours, we welcome young adults 15 years or older, accompanied by a parent/guardian if under the age of 18.

Our family friendly Turkish Delight and Flying Carpet Crystal Coast tours cater for parents with children aged between 5 - 15 yrs. We also welcome children on our City of Sultan's short stay and all tailor-made holiday arrangements.

How far in advance should I book my tour?

If planning to travel during the European summer months of June through to August or if your plans coincide with Christmas, Easter, Bank Holiday weekends or school holidays we recommend booking as early as possible. Our departures during these times prove to be very popular.

Are triple rooms available on Turkey tours?

Yes, subject to availability. Contact us at time of booking to make the request.
