Two Weeks in Namibia: Dunes, Deserts & Desert Wildlife
See dunes, desert light and wildlife-rich parks on a well-paced Namibia break
Namibia trips in the 11-14 day range suit travelers who want big skies, bold landscapes and rewarding wildlife viewing in one well-rounded break. Many itineraries combine dramatic desert scenery with classic safari drives, while still allowing enough breathing space to enjoy each region rather than simply pass through. You might linger in Swakopmund for a slower day by the coast, then head back out onto open highways where the views seem to stretch forever. Expect a mix of active moments and easier days, from climbing dunes in Namib-Naukluft to waiting quietly at Etosha waterholes as animals drift in and out. Some routes also link to Botswana, Zambia or Zimbabwe, but the Namibia section is often the visual highlight, with clear desert light, wide roads and photographs that come out crisp and luminous.
