We had a lovely guide, Ashoka to take us around the famous Buddhist temple. Very illuminating. Our driver for 5 days, Onray was amazing and we heartily recommend him. Our stay overnight in Nuwara Eliya was disappointing because the only activity on offer was a walk in the afternoon in the rain to the English style post office.. Some people didn’t do the walk and there was no driving around the town to see it all, hence we didn’t get a feel for the highlights.

I would also have wanted to go into a park with a pristine rain forest environment to be told about the diversity and animal life. Would have been great if the Blue waters stay had a swimming beach

People on our tour were great. The mini bus is very uncomfortable for the long trips we had usuallly 4 hours a day / it would gave been better to have an extra night at dambulla and little iebgkand we arrived at dusk and left the next morning , - the beach resort was boring .
