Do you offer triple rooms?
Yes we do offer triple rooms on our Egypt tours, (except for on the Nile cruises and in Dahab) although they are subject to availability, so please inquire at time of booking.
Can children travel on your tours?
On our group tours, we welcome children 16 years or older, accompanied by a parent/guardian if under the age of 18. We offer two specially designed group tours for families with children. We welcome children of all ages on our tailormade holidays.
Do I qualify for an arrival transfer at any time on Day 1?
To save you the inconvenience of haggling for a cab, if arriving into Cairo on after 7am on Day 1 of the tour or arriving earlier and purchasing additional pre-tour accommodation from on the go, we will provide you with an arrival transfer to our pre-tour hotel in Cairo.
If arriving prior to 7:00am on Day 1 (essentially on a flight that arrives into Cairo very, very early) it is prudent to consider pre-purchasing an additional night's accommodation to save you waiting until the usual hotel check in time, which is generally around 14-15:00 hours. Pre-purchasing an additional night's accommodation to cover a very early arrival will ensure you have a room to retire to and you will qualify for our arrival transfer. If not willing to pre-purchase an additional night's accommodation, please consider booking on a carrier that arrives into Cairo later and you will qualify for a transfer in the usual way.
I don’t want to travel in a group. Can I create my own itinerary or do a private tour?
Yes, we offer a selection of tailormade itineraries to all destinations. We can help plan your itinerary or if you have any ideas on what you would like to do just tell us and we can look after all your arrangements. On most individual itineraries we can even arrange your own private guide.
Are your tours suitable for single travellers?
Yes! We take lots of single travellers to Egypt, and the great thing about our trips its that you are in a group so you will always have plenty of company, and the shared experience is a great way to form some lasting friendships. We will allocate you to share a tent with a member of the same sex so there is no single supplement to pay on our group tours.
If you’re travelling alone on one of our group tours in Egypt and would like to share a room with a fellow traveller of the same sex, on the go can arrange it for you. Unlike other operators on the go has 'a no mandatory single supplement' policy on our Egypt group tours (excl. Jewel of the Nile and the Jordan section of our Road to Jordan tour). Likewise there is no single supplement required on our special Easter and Christmas group tour departures (excl. Jewel of the Nile and the Jordan section of our Road to Jordan tour).
If you are thinking about doing one of our diving holidays, a tailor-made arrangement, special event or bolt-on, we will try our best to match you up with someone. If this is not possible a modest single supplement will apply.
Please note that for all pre and/or post tour accommodation and bolt-on excursions, single room rates will apply as often we will not have anyone to match you with.
How far in advance should I book my tour?
Popular departures dates coincide with Christmas/New Year, Easter, Bank and school holidays, so book early to guarantee your place. During the Christmas/New Year and also Easter period, we offer a number of special tours. With a range of inclusions and arrangements different to our usual group tour departures. Flight availability is sought after, so source your flights to Egypt and book your tour place early if considering a cool yule or Easter escapade! That way, you can snap up a good airfare deal and most importantly your place on one of these well timed departures!
What type of people will be on my tour?
A typical group will have international mix of travellers. Our passengers come from all walks of life and from all over the English speaking world. Our group tours suit the spirited traveller, so you're likely to have plenty in common with other members of the group before you even meet. We attract many solo travellers, some couples and from time to time and groups of friends.
We do not have any age restrictions on our tours, though most of our travellers are aged mid twenties upwards. We also have special group tours designed exclusively for families.
