| The Rose City of Petra is the jewel in Jordan’s glittering archaeological crown, and is now one of the New 7 Wonders of the World. Accessed on a walk through a narrow, deep and winding cleft in the rock that is known as the Siq, the end prize is the hidden valley where the Rose City of Petra lies. And the first sight to behold is the façade of Al-Kazneh – aka the Treasury of Petra. This rose red building actually served as a royal tomb, but got its name from the legend that pirates hid their treasure there. With a backstory like that and its amazing appearance its no surprise to learn that it was this building that served as the Holy Grail’s resting place In Indiana Jones and the last crusade.

Postcards
Here's what some of our past travellers have written in to us and said about their experiences on this trip.
I just wanted to say thanks for all your help in organising a fantastic holiday.
Got back to Sydney a couple of hours ago and have to say that the trip was fantastic. I was really impressed with all the guides - they couldn't have been better. On the go have been brilliant the whole way through and I would not hestitate to recommend (or travel again) with you.
Thanks once again for your help for such a memorable holiday.
Kind regards,
Becky G., Dec 2009
My wife and I have recently returned from a trip of a lifetime to Egypt and Jordan (Road To Jordan, departed in Cairo on 14th November 2009).
We want you to know that we are very pleased with the quality of service your company provides in particular out deepest gratitude to the tour guides, Sheriff, Ehab (in Egypt) and Okla (in Jordan) for providing such an informative, enjoyable and fun facts to all the wonderful monuments we had visited during our tour. They have consistently made extra efforts to assist us in any way possible to make our holiday hassle and stress free. Our deepest gratitude to all the background staff for their coordination and logistic efforts to ensure that we didn't have to wait to check in to our hotel room nor wait in queues to buy tickets (i can recall that we only have to carry our own bags on 3-4 occasions, and my wife certainly appreciated it).
We have been travelling around the world for many years by ourselves and this is the first time we have joined a tour group. We have made many friends with similar interest along the tour and have heard nothing but praise from all who was on the tour with us.
Please convey these compliments to your entire staff in Egypt and Jordan for proving a truly memorable holiday. We sincerely appreciate the way the tour has been run and the way Sheriff, Ehad and Okla presented themselves professionally. We can still vividly recall Sheriff famous phrase "Ladies and Gentlemen, get ready, get excited, for this is the time you have been waiting for a long long time .....", a phrase that he would announce at every stop we made along the tour.
We look forward to another tour with On The Go and have recommended your company to other because of the satisfaction with the service we've received.
Many thanks.

Hi
I have just ended my tour of Egypt (Road to Jordan) and just want to thank the organisers of the trip and the tour leaders (Waleed, Mustafa and Ogla[?])for a great time in Egypt/Jordan. Their expert advice (of historical importance plus advice on travelling in Egypt (eg recommending restaurants) as well as sense of fun helped make this trip an experience I will never forget.
I have no hesitation in recommending "On the Go" to anybody intending to travel overseas and should the opportunity arise again for me to travel "On the Go" will be the first preference as tour organisers.
Thanks again

I am just writing to thank you for the amazing trip I have just completed with On the Go.
First and foremost, the organisation, the hotels and transport were first class. Infact, the hotels surpassed the level I was expecting to find in Egypt.
Also, please encourage people who go to Egypt with you to head into Jordan. They are truly missing out on seeing an amazing part of the world.
This was my second trip with On the Go and I would definitely go with you again as you offer great value for money and the organisation and guides are second to none. I would and already do recommend On the Go to anyone who talks to me about my travels.
Again, thank you for such a great trip.

Dear On the Go
I am writing to thank you for the fabulous trip I have just had in Egypt and Jordan. I did the Road To Jordan and had an absolute blast. Your organisation is perfect, well run, everything went smoothly and I felt safe every step of the way. The meet and greet service at Cairo airpoirt was welcomed, the representative was in a great spot with a very clear sign and introduced himself and explained what we had to do. He was very friendly and gave us an overview of Cairo on the way to the hotel.
Our tour guide Waleed Kaumona I cannot praise highly enough. He is a truly wonderful man with a huge heart and a passion for his country. Every step of the way he was informative, interesting and explained everything in a way we could remember with little stories and wild gesticulating of his arms to emphasis a point. I will forever remember his story of the pregnant man with 2 big bobbies and the one arm one leg big thing. He truly cares about his groups and does everything in his power to ensure we are happy and have a good time. Every step of the way he made sure all the options and bolt ons were fully explained and did his best to sort them out for us. The meeting on day one was informative and when several of our group came down with the tummy terribles he made sure they were looked after and everyone had the correct medication. At the end of our tour in his day off he took us out in Cairo, fed us, watered us then accompained us to the airport even though it was not required of him. Waleed is a real assest to your company and you should be proud to have a man of his calibre working for you.
Our guide in Jordan, Ibraham was a lovely man and really had his work cut out for him with us 3 girls who had been together for 16 days already. He was a wee bit shy of us at first as we were so loud and in his face but he warmed up to us quickly and was interesting and informative and answered all our questions. The trip to Wadi Rum just rocks and Mohamed keeps a lovely clean campsite, having flush toilets was an unexpected bonus!.
All the other people we met along the way such as the local representatives and drivers were very nice and treated us well.
All in all I had a really great time, your organisation is wonderful and I will be recommending On the Go to my friends, as I have done with your ANZAC trips.
