Haridwar, mouth of the Ganges and named as the ‘Gateway to the
Gods’, attracts millions of pilgrims from around the world who come to cleanse
their sins by bathing in the Holy Ganga River. Rishikesh, known as the ‘Yoga Capital
of the World’ and an area of outstanding natural beauty, is the perfect place to
continue spiritual contemplation, and once again is a highly revered sight, where
god is said to have appeared to a sage of long ago.
days 1 & 2: Drive from Delhi to Haridwar. City sightseeing tour incl. Mansa Devi, ancient
Daksh Mahadev and Chandi Devi Temple set upon the banks of the Ganges. An hours drive
on day 2 leads us to Rishikesh. Enjoy a sightseeing tour of this holy city and soak up the
views of the majestic Himalayas. Overnight (1) - Haridwar, (1) - Rishikesh
days 3 & 4: Enjoy free time on day 3, explore some of the cities Hindu temples or
simply relax on the banks of the holy River Ganges. In the evening watch the pilgrims
process of ritual cleansing on the riverside ghats. Day 4, morning at leisure before
driving to Delhi airport for your connecting flight home. Overnight (1) - Rishikesh
