The Sacha Lodge on the Amazon River

South America - Hotels, Boats & More

From homestays to haciendas, pensions to expedition boats, our accommodation has been specifically selected to enhance your experience and to capture the essence of the local regions we travel to.

Sometimes we visit areas where you will need to share a bathroom or you will need to camp. However, as we have carefully planned our itineraries with you in mind, we know you will not object to trading the creature comforts of home for the experiences of trekking the Inca Trail, the wildlife of the Amazon or the customs of the indigenous cultures of Lake Titicaca. To find out more about each tour's accommodation type, please see the relevant trip go guide.

Group tour hotels

In general we try to patronise small locally run establishments where the emphasis is on clean and safe with a local flavour. The star rating will be dependent on the tour but as a whole 2-3 stars. Sometimes, due to the sights we see and the places we visit, the hotels will be of a very simple nature and perhaps multi-share. Homestays and camping are also incorporated into many of our programs. Each tour details the exact accommodation arrangements and if you require more details please contact our office for particulars.

Pre/Post Accommodation

on the go use a combination of 2 - 4 star hotels and locally owned and operated pensions. The emphasis is on accommodating you in modest and clean, well located small scale establishments.

Galapagos Boats

All our Galapagos Yachts have clean and comfortable ocean view cabins with air conditioning and a private bath. They also have zodiacs and dinghies (called “pangas” locally) to facilitate shore excursions as well as cruising around ocean features and snorkeling trips. All boats also include snorkeling equipment, a standout highlight in the Galapagos Islands which should not be missed! Our specially trained crew will show you the charms of these wonderful islands and leave you with memories to last a lifetime. Your voyage is guided by a local naturalist guide certified by the Galapagos National Park Authority and who is eager to share their extensive knowledge about the natural habitat that you will be visiting. Our guides are intimately acquainted with the flora and fauna of the Galapagos Islands. The cabin crew and guide work together to make your journey unforgettable.
