About Victoria Falls
As one of the seven natural wonders of the world, it is little surprise that Victoria Falls is one of the most popular attractions in Africa. The cascading waters can be seen and heard from miles around and their powerful spray cools down visitors to the area. Throughout the day the fierce sun beats down on the water, reflecting off of the streams and often creating beautiful rainbows that arch over the gully between the falls. There are few sights on earth as awe-inspiring and majestic to behold as Victoria Falls. This is the ultimate showcase of the unparalleled power of nature.Read More
During the rainy season, it is estimated that roughly 500 million cubic metres of water tumble over the edge of the falls every minute. The water drops over 100 metres and the length of the falls spans roughly 2 kilometres. However, if the sight of the falls isn't quite enough, just across the border, on the Zambian side of the falls, sits the Devil's pool. Only accessible in the dry season, this pool allows guests to take a dip in the glistening water whilst living, quite literally, on the edge.
There are a number of different ways to experience the best of what Victoria Falls have to offer. Several different trails wind their way around the area, offering a plethora of different viewing angles. Meanwhile, Knife Edge Bridge and Victoria Falls Bridge also provide some spectacular vistas. Alternatively, for the more daring explorer, helicopter rides over the falls allow for the most unique and breathtaking views imaginable. There is even the option of bungee jumping for the real thrill-seekers out there. You might not get the best views this way but it is certainly something to tick off the bucket list.
