The beauty of the Nile experienced on the Felluca cruise. The knowledge and approach of Sherif our Guide - wonderful and pitched just right for the group. The overnight train journey was awful - the horn was blown every 30 seconds for the 14 hour trip - no sleep! The toilet on the Felluca needed to be cleaner and the cistern topped up more regularly. The optional snorkelling trip at the Red Sea felt like we were being herded like cattle

Loved the Valley of the Kings and Hatshepsut's temple. Loved Luxor temple under lights and the balloon flight. Aamer, our guide, and the man who met me at the airport were very helpful. The rail journey was an experience but not quite what I expected. I was a bit disappointed in the high tea at the Old Cataract Hotel. It was disappointing that there were only 5 of us on the tour, but I realise that the war caused cancellations.

Hurgadha was just sensational, the optional snorkel was really fantastic. We added Alexandria day trip, it was a little disappointing and not worth the travel in my opinion. Luxor temple by night was not as spectacular as I’d hoped, I should have gone during the day. A review needs to be done of the hotels, especially Cairo & Luxor, incredibly dated & run down.

Throughout the whole trip the organisation in terms of meeting us, guiding us etc was totally seamless in taking any stress out of our travel. The 2 guides, Nash & Ahmed were fantastic and their knowledge just limitless. Definitely the train ride - should be removed until the train system upgraded. The itinerary was inconsistent. Jam packed days on top of each other and then chilled days on top of each other. A better balance would have been better

Private Tours11Very impressed with the all the pyramids and ancient Egyptian architecture. The tour guides were both very knowledgeable and tailored their presentation to suit our ages. The overnight sleeper train ride was by far the worst part of the tour. The cabin was cramped, the seat was uncomfortable and turned into two very narrow bunks. There were numerous stops during the night and the braking system in the carriage was very noisy.
