There were less tourists on this part of the trip. New Years dinner at the hotel was a bit uninspiring - there were plenty of events/venues around the hotel which offered meals accompanied by music, fireworks and belly dancing etc. Perhaps the tour company could have booked us on to one of these.

The difficulty of this climb needs to be much clearer
